Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.00087 | $0.01533 |
| Opus 5 | $0.00044 | $0.00766 |
| Sonnet 5 | $0.00017 | $0.00307 |
| Haiku 4.5 | $0.00009 | $0.00153 |
Grade A, and why
pyramid-short-form scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 11d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 99 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.
Pyramid Short-Form
Purpose
Draft a requested short-form artifact of about 500 words or fewer. Load pyramid-principle-core for structure and direct language. Add a pyramid-source-integrity check when facts or data materially affect the output; receive a claim packet only when strict trace mode applies.
This skill drafts. It does not explain the Pyramid Principle or audit existing writing.
Route the Request
Use this skill for emails, Slack or IM updates, executive summaries, one-pagers, BLUF notes, short decision memos, and status updates.
Hand off when:
- the artifact needs multiple developed sections or exceeds about 500 words →
pyramid-long-form - the artifact is a deck or presentation storyline →
pyramid-presentation - the user wants existing writing diagnosed →
pyramid-audit - the user wants the framework explained →
pyramid-principle-core
Return the Requested Shape
- Factual update or "use only these facts" request: Return plain prose or user-requested bullets. Start with the factual answer sentence itself, not a heading. Use the cleared fact set once, then stop.
- Recommendation or decision request: Return the recommendation and its cleared supporting reasons. Add an ask or next step only when the claim set includes it or the user requests it.
- Status request: Return the current status, changes, and cleared actions or decisions.
Do not label sections Answer, Support, SCQA, Governing thought, or Next step unless the user requests an annotated artifact.
Treat a word limit as a maximum unless the user explicitly requires an exact length. Never add content to fill the available words.
Identify the Inputs
Before drafting, the agent identifies:
- Reader question: What must the artifact answer for its reader?
- Requested outcome: Does the user want facts, a recommendation, a decision, an ask, or a status update?
- Cleared claims: When source integrity applies, which facts, calculations, inferences, recommendations, and limitations may the artifact use, and what source, locator, confidence, and reason accompany each data point?
- Medium: Email, memo, one-pager, Slack, or another short form?
- Constraints: Audience, length, tone, deadline, and sensitivity.
What ships with it
2 files beside SKILL.md in the same directory: the scripts, references and assets a skill reads on demand. Not counted in the per-session cost; read them before you install if any of them is executable.
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

pyramid-short-form is a skill published in the GitHub repository tyroneross/pyramid-principle (28 stars, last pushed 4d ago), licensed Apache-2.0. It adds 87 tokens to every session and 1,533 once invoked, about $0.0004 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-30.
