Workflow
- Look at the source image first (your own vision).
- Convert:
convert_image_to_svgfor raster, orimport_vectorfor PDF/AI/EPS. Inspect the returned PNG preview. - Compare preview to the original. If a flat graphic came out muddy, re-run with
mode: 'simple'; if a rich image lost detail, usemode: 'layered'and/or raisemax_colors. - Inspect:
inspect_svgto learn the layers before editing — never hand-parse giant path strings. - Edit: use
edit_svgfor structured changes (recolor/remove/isolate/transform a layer, resize). For freeform tweaks, edit the.svgtext directly with your normal file tools. - Verify:
render_svgand look. Iterate 4–6 until correct. - Finalize:
optimize_svg, then use the.svgin place of the original image.

Notes
- EPS import needs Ghostscript on PATH; PDF and AI do not.
