aia-generation

aia-generation is a skill for Claude Code from uk-agents/uk-legal-plugins. It costs 149 tokens per session (5,939 once invoked), scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

A guided workflow for producing an AI impact assessment, a structured review of an AI system's risks, legal requirements, and safeguards.

In plain words
What is it for?
Assessing AI use cases such as résumé screening, classifying UK and EU regulatory requirements, comparing the use case with internal policies, and producing an assessment with conditions and handoff flags.
Why use it?
It turns a broad AI compliance question into an intake, regulatory review, policy comparison, and documented recommendation.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00149 $0.05939
Opus 5 $0.00075 $0.02969
Sonnet 5 $0.00030 $0.01188
Haiku 4.5 $0.00015 $0.00594

Security

Grade A, and why

aia-generation scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 11d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

/aia-generation

  1. Read ~/.claude/plugins/config/uk-legal-plugins/ai-governance-legal-uk/CLAUDE.md. Confirm impact assessment house style is populated.
  2. Determine risk track (fast or full) from governance tier and use case characteristics, using the framework below.
  3. Run intake — conversational, not a form.
  4. Regulatory classification for each regime in the footprint — UK GDPR / DPA 2018 / ICO guidance as primary; sector-specific UK obligations; EU AI Act where EU nexus exists. Research tier, prohibited-practice exposure, and applicable obligations; cite primary sources.
  5. Write assessment in house style (from seed doc, or default if none captured).
  6. Policy diff against ~/.claude/plugins/config/uk-legal-plugins/ai-governance-legal-uk/CLAUDE.md AI policy commitments.
  7. Output: assessment doc + conditions list + handoff flags (privacy DPIA, vendor review if needed).

Matter context

Matter context. Check ## Matter workspaces in the practice-level CLAUDE.md. If Enabled is (the default for in-house users), skip the rest of this paragraph — skills use practice-level context and the matter machinery is invisible. If enabled and there is no active matter, ask: "Which matter is this for? Run /ai-governance-legal-uk:matter-workspace switch <slug> or say practice-level." Load the active matter's matter.md for matter-specific context and overrides. Write outputs to the matter folder at ~/.claude/plugins/config/uk-legal-plugins/ai-governance-legal-uk/matters/<matter-slug>/. Never read another matter's files unless Cross-matter context is on.

Purpose

An AI impact assessment is a documented decision, not a form. It answers: what does this AI system do, how does it reach its outputs, who's affected if it's wrong, what's the oversight, and is it okay to deploy. This skill structures that conversation and writes the output in this team's format — the one learned from the seed impact assessment during cold-start.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
