manage-third-party-services

manage-third-party-services is a skill for Claude Code from uptimerobot/ai. It costs 48 tokens per session (2,315 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A skill for tracking outside providers such as cloud, payment, and SaaS services through their public status pages. It can find providers, choose components, and manage the services tracked by the account.

In plain words
What is it for?
Finding a provider, starting or stopping tracking, inspecting tracked services, and updating or deleting them when a provider reports incidents through its status page.
Why use it?
It keeps third-party service tracking separate from ordinary monitors and uses the account’s dedicated operations for these providers. This helps avoid using the wrong monitor type or identifier.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00048 $0.02315
Opus 5.5 $0.00019 $0.00926
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00010 $0.00463
Haiku 4.5 $0.00005 $0.00231

Security

Grade A, and why

manage-third-party-services scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured yesterday.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Manage third-party services

Preflight, read first. If you cannot see any uptimerobot:* MCP tools in your tool list, invoke the uptimerobot:setup skill before doing anything else. Do not tell the user the MCP is misconfigured, setup's Step 0 detects the common case (server connected, tools loaded after session start) and resolves it without re-keying.

A third-party service tracks the public status of an outside provider (a cloud, a payment processor, a SaaS) and alerts the account when the provider reports an incident. It is a monitor of its own type, but it lives on its own tools:

  • list-monitors does not return third-party services, and monitorsCount / monitorLimit from get-user do not count them. Use list-third-party-services.
  • The generic tools (get-monitor-details, update-monitor, delete-monitor) are not for them. Use the *-third-party-service tools below.
  • Two kinds of ID are in play. A provider ID identifies a provider in the catalog and is used only to find and start tracking it. A monitor ID identifies the tracked service on the account and is used for everything after that. Both are plain numbers. Never use a provider name, status page URL or slug as an ID, and never guess either kind.

Use this skill when the user says "track AWS status", "alert me when Stripe has an incident", "what third-party services am I tracking", "only watch these components", or "stop tracking X".

Step 1: Find the provider

{"search":"stripe","limit":10}

Call search-third-party-providers. search matches a provider or component name; limit is 1-50. Each row has the provider id, name, statusPageUrl, state (operational, minor, major or maintenance), the matchedComponent the search hit (or null), and isTracked.

  • Pick the provider by its numeric id. If several rows plausibly match, show the user the names and status page URLs and ask which one.
  • If isTracked is true, the account already tracks it. Find the monitor ID with list-third-party-services instead of creating again.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
