memory-reflect

memory-reflect is a skill for Cursor from vectorize-io/hindsight. It costs 48 tokens per session (202 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A memory search skill that answers questions about past decisions, habits, changes, and known information by comparing stored memories.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to answer questions such as what a team decided, how work is usually done, or what changed across projects and memory stores.
Why use it?
It helps when a single recalled note is not enough to judge what happened over time. It also makes uncertainty or conflicting memories visible instead of filling gaps with guesses.

About the project

vectorize-io/hindsight is an agent memory system that stores experiences and helps AI agents learn over time instead of only recalling conversation history. It is used by developers adding long-term memory to agents, including coding agents. Catalogue add-ons connect agents to Hindsight and its memory workflows.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00048 $0.00202
Opus 5.5 $0.00019 $0.00081
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00010 $0.00040
Haiku 4.5 $0.00005 $0.00020

Security

Grade A, and why

memory-reflect scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 13d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Reason over memory

recall returns individual memories. reflect reads across them and answers the question, which is better for anything that needs a judgement over history.

Steps

  1. Call reflect with the user's question on the bank most likely to hold the answer: grok-bot::shared for things about the user or the team, this Bot's bank for its own work, or one of the user's other banks for their work in other tools.
  2. If the answer depends on more than one bank, reflect on each and combine the answers, saying which part came from where.
  3. Give the answer directly. If memory is thin or contradictory, say so rather than filling the gap.
Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

memory-reflect is a skill published in the GitHub repository vectorize-io/hindsight (50,054 stars, last pushed today), licensed MIT. It adds 48 tokens to every session and 202 once invoked, about $0.0002 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-10-03.
