Getting it into your agent
One page per mod, every tool's command on it. A separate URL per tool would split the same page into five that compete with each other.

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.00184 | $0.01763 |
| Opus 5 | $0.00092 | $0.00881 |
| Sonnet 5 | $0.00037 | $0.00353 |
| Haiku 4.5 | $0.00018 | $0.00176 |
Grade A, and why
azure-pim scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 11d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 115 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.
Microsoft Entra Privileged Identity Management (PIM)
PIM provides just-in-time, time-bound, approval-based, and audited elevation for privileged roles - eliminating standing administrative access and reducing the attack surface for high-value accounts. Requires Entra ID P2.
When to use
Governing privileged access to Entra roles, Azure RBAC roles, and privileged groups. Use this skill for moving permanent assignments to eligible, configuring activation controls, and running recurring access reviews.
Do not use this skill for resource access packages (entra-id-governance) or risk
detection (entra-id-protection).
Pick activation controls by role tier
| Role tier | Examples | Approval | MFA strength | Max activation duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Tier 0 - control plane | Global Admin, Privileged Role Admin, Privileged Auth Admin | Required (2 approvers) | Phishing-resistant | 1 hour |
| Tier 0 - Azure | Owner on management group / root subscription | Required | Phishing-resistant | 2 hours |
| Tier 1 - workload admin | Exchange Admin, SharePoint Admin, Intune Admin | Required (1 approver) | Phishing-resistant | 4 hours |
| Tier 1 - Azure | Owner / Contributor on production subscription | Justification + ticket | MFA | 4 hours |
| Tier 2 - operational | Helpdesk, Reports Reader, Security Reader | Justification | MFA | 8 hours |
Rule of thumb: the two-approver requirement on Global Admin is the single highest- value PIM control. It blocks self-elevation and forces a witness for every tenant-wide change.
Approach
-
Inventory permanent assignments — Use
Get-MgRoleManagementDirectoryRoleAssignmentand the Azure portalAssignmentsview per subscription. Categorise by tier. Target: zero standing assignments outside break-glass. Verify:PIM → Entra roles → Assignments → Activeshows only break-glass accounts for Global Admin. -
Convert to eligible in waves — Tier 2 first (low blast radius if activation flow breaks), then Tier 1, then Tier 0. Give admins 7 days notice + a walkthrough video. Verify: weekly activation count rises as expected; no admin complaints about lost access.
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

azure-pim is a skill published in the GitHub repository vinayaklatthe/microsoft-security-skills (173 stars, last pushed 2mo ago), licensed MIT. It adds 184 tokens to every session and 1,763 once invoked, about $0.0009 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-30.
