glab-deploy-token

glab-deploy-token is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from vince-winkintel/gitlab-cli-skills. It costs 56 tokens per session (297 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A command procedure for listing GitLab deploy-token details for a project or group. Deploy tokens are credentials that let software access GitLab resources, and the procedure can filter out expired or revoked tokens.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to check token names, usernames, scopes, expiry, and revocation status for a GitLab project or group, in text or JSON form.
Why use it?
It provides a read-only inventory of active deploy-token metadata without exposing token secrets or implying that tokens can be changed.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00056 $0.00297
Opus 5.5 $0.00022 $0.00119
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00011 $0.00059
Haiku 4.5 $0.00006 $0.00030

Security

Grade A, and why

glab-deploy-token scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 2d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

glab deploy-token

Inspect deploy-token metadata for a project or group. list (alias ls) collects all API pages; --active filters out both revoked and expired tokens. Text columns include ID, name, username, scopes, expiry, revoked, and expired. JSON output also clears any secret token value; a listing cannot recover a deploy-token secret.

# Credential-free command discovery
glab deploy-token --help
glab deploy-token list --help

# Read-only authenticated inventory after confirming the intended host/project
glab deploy-token list --repo group/project --active --output json
glab deploy-token list --group group/subgroup --output json

--repo and --group are mutually exclusive. Group scope works outside a checkout; verify the default/environment host there. Project scope needs a resolvable repository. --jq filters JSON. The command group exposes listing only: do not infer create/revoke/rotate commands from access-token management. Listing does not authorize credential changes.

See references/commands.md for complete captured parent and list help.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
