Getting it into your agent
One page per mod, every tool's command on it. A separate URL per tool would split the same page into five that compete with each other.

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.00041 | $0.01219 |
| Opus 5 | $0.00020 | $0.00609 |
| Sonnet 5 | $0.00008 | $0.00244 |
| Haiku 4.5 | $0.00004 | $0.00122 |
Grade A, and why
xmum-statement-writer scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 12d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 116 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.
XMUM Statement Writer
Purpose
Use this skill for PS, SOP, motivation letter, CV, and recommendation-note work. The main principle is evidence-based fit: connect concrete past preparation to specific future program features.
Shared Application Workspace
Before substantial writing work, check the current workspace for application-profile.md and application-tracker.md. If present, read them first, reconcile them with the latest user message, and treat them as the current source of truth.
Use application-profile.md for stable evidence such as courses, CGPA, projects, research, internships, awards, and referees. Use application-tracker.md for target programs, official links, deadlines, document status, and next actions. If the writing reveals a missing fact or a changed target, update or propose updates to the relevant file.
PS vs SOP vs Motivation Letter
- Personal Statement: emphasizes the applicant as a person, intellectual path, undergraduate motivation, community contribution, and fit.
- Statement of Purpose: emphasizes academic purpose, research or professional direction, technical skills, prior preparation, and why the target program is the right training environment.
- Motivation Letter: often used in Europe; should be concise, fit-based, and tied to course/prerequisite logic.
For US applications, be stricter: SOP/PS is a serious evaluation document, not a generic requirement. For Hong Kong/UK taught programs, the essay may be lighter, but it still needs credible fit and clean writing.
Core Structure
Build every statement from two halves:
-
Why the applicant is qualified
- Academic performance and relevant courses.
- Research, FYP, projects, internships, or competitions.
- Specific methods, tools, skills, or domain knowledge.
- What the applicant learned and can now do.
-
Why the program is a fit
- Program courses, labs, professors, tracks, facilities, capstones, or industry links.
- How those elements serve the applicant's next goal.
- Why the applicant's prior preparation makes the fit credible.
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

xmum-statement-writer is a skill published in the GitHub repository ViryaZheng/xmum-application-skills (2 stars, last pushed 3mo ago), licensed MIT. It adds 41 tokens to every session and 1,219 once invoked, about $0.0002 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
