What is app-store-toolkit:status?

A command guide for comparing local App Store Connect data with the version stored remotely. App Store Connect is Apple's service for managing app listings, privacy details, review information, and releases.

Use it to check app names, descriptions, keywords, promotional text, privacy information, review details, and locale-specific URLs across configured platforms.

It shows whether local or remote metadata is newer, missing, or in conflict before you synchronize changes.

You are showing the sync status between local metadata and App Store Connect.

Steps

1. Load Configuration

Call store_read_config to get app_id, locales, and platforms.

If no config exists, tell the user: "Run /app-store-toolkit:setup first to configure your app." and STOP.

If no API credentials configured, show local-only status (what fields exist, completion %).

2. Fetch Remote State

For each configured locale:

Call asc_get_app_info to get remote name, subtitle
For each platform, call asc_get_version then asc_get_version_localizations to get remote description, keywords, promo, what's new

3. Compare with Local

For each field, read the local latest content using store_read_metadata and compare with remote:

In Sync (=): Local latest matches remote
Local Newer (>): Local has changes not pushed
Remote Newer (<): Remote changed since last pull
Conflict (!): Both changed since last sync
Local Only (+): Exists locally but not remotely
Remote Only (-): Exists remotely but not locally
