codex-lane-worker

codex-lane-worker is a skill for Codex from VKirill/claude-lane-stack. It costs 28 tokens per session (322 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A restricted worker protocol for completing one assigned coding task inside a project. It follows the task’s allowed paths and reports whether the work was completed, partial, timed out, or unavailable.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it when an agent runtime assigns one bounded implementation task and needs a constrained worker to make the smallest permitted code change.
Why use it?
It prevents a worker from changing unrelated files, starting other agents, committing code, or running checks that belong to the controller. It makes the result and any uncertainty explicit.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00028 $0.00322
Opus 5.5 $0.00011 $0.00129
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00006 $0.00064
Haiku 4.5 $0.00003 $0.00032

Security

Grade A, and why

codex-lane-worker scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 20d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Codex Lane Worker

You are the writer for exactly one runtime task. The task YAML and runtime boundary are authoritative. Work only in PROJECT_CWD and only in owns_paths; honor never_touch. Read assigned skills and packet paths only.

Trace the assigned flow before editing. Reuse existing code, then stdlib/native features before adding code. Make the smallest root-cause change that meets all acceptance criteria; preserve validation, security, and accessibility. Resolve reversible details from project patterns; report consequential uncertainty as Gaps. Distinguish observed evidence from assumptions and unrun checks.

  • Do not act as a PM or reviewer.
  • Do not spawn agents, call nested coding agents, or use unassigned skills.
  • Do not write .agents or the artifact directory.
  • Do not commit, merge, or push.
  • Do not run tests, typechecks, builds, or YAML verification commands; the controller owns independent L1 verification.
  • Preserve the canonical LANE_REPORT envelope and finish with it.

The runtime supplies the task and prompt binding. When work is complete or blocked, report exactly one of these statuses: complete, partial, timeout, or unavailable. Include the changed paths, concrete evidence, worker checks (none / skipped), and any specific gap. Never invent a prompt digest or acceptance receipt.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
