avito-connector

avito-connector is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from Vladimir-Human/ru-marketplace-mcp. It costs 92 tokens per session (958 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A connector for reading Avito, a Russian classifieds marketplace. It can retrieve search results, listing details, and seller information, using either direct requests or the operator's logged-in Chrome browser when needed.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to search Avito listings, inspect an item's price and description, check views, and review a seller's rating, review count, and active listings.
Why use it?
It provides marketplace data when direct access is blocked by Avito's anti-bot checks. It also clarifies that seller ratings and reviews are the relevant reputation information for classifieds listings.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00092 $0.00958
Opus 5 $0.00046 $0.00479
Sonnet 5 $0.00018 $0.00192
Haiku 4.5 $0.00009 $0.00096

Security

Grade A, and why

avito-connector scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 2d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Avito Connector

Reads Avito via the internal js/items JSON API. Two tiers: impersonated HTTPS (curl_cffi) works from a residential Russian IP; from a datacenter the firewall answers 403 + captcha, so the fetch falls back to the operator's logged-in Chrome over CDP — same pattern as Ozon.

When to use

  • Search classifieds by text, with optional category/location filters
  • One listing's price, description, views
  • Seller reputation — Avito is classifieds: no per-item reviews, the seller's rating and active-listing count ARE the review signal

Tools available

  • avito_search(query, page, location_id, category_id) — listings via js/items. price_rub is None for ads with no price (free/exchange) — never 0.
  • avito_card(item_id_or_url) — one listing: price, description, views, seller
  • avito_seller(seller_id_or_url) — seller rating, review count, active listings

Not an MCP tool: avito_selfcheck() is a tri-state drift canary. It is CLI-only — marketplace-mcp doctor runs every connector's canary at once.

What a search row does and does not carry

Confirmed against a real js/items response captured 2026-07-28 from a residential session:

  • location is an object upstream, not a string: {"id": 637640, "name": "Москва", ...}. The connector reduces it to the place name. When Avito itself has no place name for an ad, the field is None — the numeric locationId is deliberately NOT resolved to a city, because that would need a lookup table this connector does not have and the result would be a guess that reads like data.
  • price does not exist as a top-level key. The amount lives in priceDetailed.value; the connector reads it and leaves None for priceless ads.
  • posted_at is ISO-8601 UTC, converted from Avito's sortTimeStamp (epoch milliseconds). There is no date string in the payload to pass through.
  • seller_name is None on search rows. The payload has no seller object at all — only a logo link. Use avito_card or avito_seller when you need the seller; do not infer a name from the search row.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
