yandex-connector

yandex-connector is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from Vladimir-Human/ru-marketplace-mcp. It costs 88 tokens per session (1,393 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A connector for Yandex Market, a Russian shopping marketplace that compares products and offers from multiple sellers.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to compare prices and stock, inspect seller offers, break down star ratings, read buyer reviews, and find products in categories that other marketplaces may cover less well.
Why use it?
It helps answer what a product costs across sellers and whether its average rating hides a cluster of poor reviews. It also provides product information without requiring a browser or credentials.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00088 $0.01393
Opus 5 $0.00044 $0.00696
Sonnet 5 $0.00018 $0.00279
Haiku 4.5 $0.00009 $0.00139

Security

Grade A, and why

yandex-connector scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured today.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Yandex Market Connector

Read Yandex Market via yandex_* tools. No credentials, no browser: the data comes from the server-rendered page state.

Yandex Market aggregates many sellers per product, which makes it the best single source for "what does this actually cost right now" — and it lists categories (appliances, electronics, groceries) that Wildberries and Ozon cover unevenly.

When to use

  • Price check across competing sellers for one product
  • Rating analysis, especially the star distribution — a 4.8 average with a 1-star cluster tells a very different story than a clean 4.8
  • Reading buyer reviews with pros/cons separated
  • Finding products outside WB/Ozon's strong categories

Tools

  • yandex_search(query, page=1, limit=12) — text search. Returns products with both prices, ratings, sellers and stock.
  • yandex_card(product_id, include_reviews=True) — full detail: prices, offer count, star breakdown, and the reviews.

Not an MCP tool: yandex_selfcheck() is a drift canary. It is CLI-only — run marketplace-mcp doctor after install and whenever results look wrong.

The price field that matters most

Every price appears twice, and the difference is not cosmetic:

  • price_rub — what anyone pays (on search rows: the price the SERP snippet's cart button charges, verified against product cards). Quote this one.
  • price_with_plus — requires a paid Yandex Plus subscription, typically 25-30% lower.

Yandex's own UI leads with the subscriber price, so it is easy to quote a number the operator cannot actually get. Discounted rows also carry the struck-through reference — price_old_rub on search rows, price_before_discount_rub plus discount_percent on cards. It is context for the discount, never a price to quote.

Workflow patterns

Price check:

  1. yandex_search(query="стиральная машина узкая", limit=10)
  2. Report price_rub; note price_with_plus only as a footnote.
  3. total_available tells you how much else exists beyond the page.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
