framework-aspnet-core

framework-aspnet-core is a skill for Claude Code from wahidyankf/ose-public. It costs 44 tokens per session (904 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A guide to building web applications with ASP.NET Core, a framework for handling HTTP requests in .NET. It covers endpoint boundaries, service lifetimes, startup option checks, and tests through the application's in-process host.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to design endpoints, register services, validate settings at startup, arrange middleware, and test ASP.NET Core request behaviour.
Why use it?
It helps keep request-handling code separate from business logic and catches configuration or pipeline problems early. It also provides a consistent way to test how requests move through the application.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00044 $0.00904
Opus 5.5 $0.00018 $0.00362
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00009 $0.00181
Haiku 4.5 $0.00004 $0.00090

Security

Grade A, and why

framework-aspnet-core scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 2d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

ASP.NET Core Framework

Every ASP.NET Core rule is owned by ASP.NET Core Standards, which inherits the project's language standard. F# Programming carries the language procedure, and a Giraffe application adds Giraffe Framework. This skill adds only the judgement of working at the framework boundary. Where a sentence here seems to state a rule, the standard decides.

Start From What the Project Records

Read the composition root: the service registrations, the options bindings, and the middleware order. Read the validation library and in-memory database choice the solution records, if any. Run the format check, the build with warnings as errors, and the unit tests on the untouched tree. A gate already failing is handled under Preexisting Error Resolution.

Keep the Endpoint a Translator

Write the application function first, test-first, with no framework type in its signature. The endpoint then binds, calls it once, and maps the result to a typed response. When an endpoint starts reading the request context in several places, or branches on a business rule, move that work into the application function and pass it the values instead.

Choose a Service Lifetime Deliberately

The service Lifetime
holds no state, or state safe to share across requests singleton
holds per-request state, such as a database unit of work scoped
is cheap, stateless, and resolved in several places transient

Then check the dependencies: a service may depend only on services living at least as long. A singleton that needs a scoped service takes a scope factory and creates a scope per unit of work. Enable the host's scope validation in development, so a captured scoped service fails at startup rather than leaking state between requests.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

framework-aspnet-core is a skill published in the GitHub repository wahidyankf/ose-public (12 stars, last pushed today), licensed MIT. It adds 44 tokens to every session and 904 once invoked, about $0.0002 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-10-14.
