What is project-sweeper?

A cleanup procedure for Flutter and iOS development environments. Flutter is a framework for building apps, and the procedure clears generated build files, downloads dependencies again, and can reinstall iOS project packages.

Use it when Flutter builds fail mysteriously, after switching branches, or when an iOS app reports missing or outdated plugin packages.

Old build files or cached packages can cause confusing errors after code or branch changes. Rebuilding the environment from fresh dependencies can remove those stale states.

When the user complains about "mysterious build errors," "cached states," or issues after pulling new branch changes, or if they face iOS-specific build issues:

1. Flutter Clean and Get

Clean the Flutter build environment and fetch fresh dependencies using the run_in_terminal tool:

flutter clean && flutter pub get

Note for PowerShell, use ; instead of &&: flutter clean; flutter pub get

2. Update iOS Pods

If the developer is actively building for iOS and mentions iOS issues (like a missing plugin), install pods in the ios directory:

cd ios; pod install; cd ..

Inform the user about the results of the cleanup process.
