migrate-waniwani-sdk-0.24-to-0.25

migrate-waniwani-sdk-0.24-to-0.25 is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from WaniWani-AI/sdk. It costs 248 tokens per session (6,778 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A step-by-step procedure for moving applications from the @waniwani/sdk 0.23 or 0.24 releases to release 0.25. An SDK is a software library that an application uses through a defined interface.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to update the dependency, adjust affected createFlow code, and run the stated completion checks for this specific version change.
Why use it?
It explains version changes that may not produce compiler errors but can alter how an application's flows fill in data. This reduces the risk of a migration that appears to compile while behaving incorrectly.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00248 $0.06778
Opus 5.5 $0.00099 $0.02711
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00050 $0.01356
Haiku 4.5 $0.00025 $0.00678

Security

Grade A, and why

migrate-waniwani-sdk-0.24-to-0.25 scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured today.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Migrate @waniwani/sdk 0.24 → 0.25

A self-contained migration for the hop to 0.25.x. It covers projects on 0.24.x, and projects on 0.23.x that skip 0.24. For other version boundaries use the matching migrate-waniwani-sdk-<from>-to-<to> skill, or the general procedure in the SDK's changelog.

Precondition: the project is on @waniwani/[email protected] or @waniwani/[email protected]. On 0.23.x, do not run the migrate-waniwani-sdk-0.23-to-0.24 skill first. Read "Starting from 0.23" below, then run this procedure. On an older version, migrate up to 0.23 first. If the project is already on 0.25 and its flows were written for 0.24, run the procedure anyway: almost all of this hop is invisible to tsc, and a flow can compile on 0.25 while the model fills its consent questions.

Projects with no createFlow call have nothing to migrate. Bump the dependency, run the completion check, and stop.

To see which write rule the installed SDK runs:

grep -rhoE 'takes fields the flow (listed in `fields` or )?has asked' node_modules/@waniwani/sdk/dist | sort -u

takes fields the flow has asked is 0.24 (asked-only gate). takes fields the flow listed in `fields` or has asked is 0.25. No output is 0.23 or older.

What 0.25 changes

In 0.24 a call wrote only the fields the run had asked through an interrupt question or a widget's field. The model never saw a field name before its question, so it could not send what the user had already said, and a field no question asks could never be set from the conversation. That gate also kept the conversation away from fields the flow computes for itself.

In 0.25 the session's first interrupt or widget response carries fields: every state field with its type, enum values and description, keyed the way stateUpdates takes them (members of a z.object group as dot-paths such as driver.name). It goes out once per conversation, through the flow's internal state, the same way intro does. tools/list still names no field.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

migrate-waniwani-sdk-0.24-to-0.25 is a skill published in the GitHub repository WaniWani-AI/sdk (18 stars, last pushed yesterday), licensed MIT. It adds 248 tokens to every session and 6,778 once invoked, about $0.0010 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-10-20.
