wayfound

wayfound is a skill for Claude Code from Wayfound-AI/wayfound-agent-skills. It costs 72 tokens per session (3,243 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

An integration guide for connecting AI agents to Wayfound, a service that reviews agent-user conversations for performance, compliance, and knowledge gaps.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to connect through the Python or JavaScript SDK or the REST API, configure credentials, and submit sessions for supervision.
Why use it?
It provides a defined way to send conversation transcripts and receive findings such as guideline violations, improvement suggestions, and performance measures.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00072 $0.03243
Opus 5 $0.00036 $0.01622
Sonnet 5 $0.00014 $0.00649
Haiku 4.5 $0.00007 $0.00324

Security

Grade A, and why

wayfound scanned grade A with 1 finding against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 12d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Wayfound Integration

Wayfound is an AI agent supervision platform. It analyzes agent-user conversations for performance, compliance, and knowledge gaps. Send session transcripts via SDK or REST API, and Wayfound returns analysis including guideline violations, improvement suggestions, and performance metrics.

Docs: https://docs.wayfound.ai API reference: https://wayfound-api.readme.io/reference

Prerequisites

Before integrating, the developer needs:

  • A Wayfound account at https://app.wayfound.ai
  • An agent created on the platform with a name, role, and goal. The goal should have clear, verifiable success criteria — Wayfound's supervisor evaluates sessions against it.
  • An API key — created on the Settings > Connections page (requires admin permissions)
  • The Agent ID — found on the agent's Connection page

Set these as environment variables (both SDKs read them automatically):

export WAYFOUND_API_KEY="your-api-key"
export WAYFOUND_AGENT_ID="your-agent-id"

Message Format

All integration methods use the same message schema. Define messages once, use them with any method.

Each message in the array:

{
  "timestamp": "2025-01-15T10:00:00Z",
  "event_type": "assistant_message",
  "attributes": {
    "content": "Hello! How can I help you today?"
  }
}
Field Type Required Description
timestamp string Yes ISO 8601 datetime of when the message occurred
event_type string Yes One of the 14 supported event types listed below
attributes object No Event-specific data. Use content for message text
label string No Classification label for the event
description string No Additional context about the event

The messages array has a 750 KB size limit.

Event Types

There are 14 supported event types. The AI Supervisor reasons about all of them when analyzing sessions.

Event Type Purpose Key Attributes
user_message User's input content
assistant_message Agent's response content, model_name, tokens_total, latency_ms
system_message Background system actions content
developer_message Internal dev/debug logs content
structured_message Structured options presented to user options (array of {title, value})
reasoning_step Agent's internal reasoning thought
tool_call External tool/API invocation tool_name, tool_input, tool_output, success, latency_ms
agent_call Delegation to another agent external_id, input
user_feedback User rating or reaction feedback_type (thumbs_up_down or stars), rating
button_click User clicked a UI button button_id
link_click User clicked a link url
agent_handoff Transfer to human agent reason
human_review Supervisor/human follow-up approver_id, status
custom_event Any domain-specific event event_name, details

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

wayfound is a skill published in the GitHub repository Wayfound-AI/wayfound-agent-skills (5 stars, last pushed 5mo ago), licensed MIT. It adds 72 tokens to every session and 3,243 once invoked, about $0.0004 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 1 finding (makes network calls). No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
