GENesis-AGI: Skill for Claude Code

.claude/skills/closing-session/SKILL.md

closing-session is a skill for Claude Code from WingedGuardian/GENesis-AGI. It costs 147 tokens per session (35,576 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A workflow for taking open pull requests through review and into a mergeable state. A pull request is a proposed code change that teammates review before adding it to the project.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to inspect pull-request gates, address review findings, identify blockers, and drive open pull requests to merge.
Why use it?
It separates closing existing work from writing new code and keeps review tasks from being lost or taking over a build session.

Skill for Claude Code

Written for Claude Code: PreToolUse hook event. Also seen: reads .claude/ paths; mentions CLAUDE.md; mentions subagents.

This is WingedGuardian/GENesis-AGI's own configuration. It tells Claude Code how to work on GENesis-AGI itself, so it is not a mod to install elsewhere. Copy it as a starting point and replace the rules that are about this project. Everything GENesis-AGI configures →

Needs its repository: it runs a file that does not travel with it, so clone the repository first. The line is python3 scripts/hooks/git_push_guard.py --check-pr <N>.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00147 $0.35576
Opus 5.5 $0.00059 $0.14230
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00029 $0.07115
Haiku 4.5 $0.00015 $0.03558

Security

Grade A, and why

closing-session scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 2d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Load Gate

This skill is for closing work, not building it. If the task is "implement X and open a PR", you are a build session — load build-session instead. If the task is "take the open PRs and get them merged", you are here.

The two are different SESSION TYPES, not two phases of one session's life.

There is no "repair" session type (owner, 2026-10-19/20). Fixing review findings on an open PR is closing work, whoever built it: closing stays one role, and the merge gate is the judge (owner ruling, 2026-09-03). A PR sent back with a decision-complete ## Rework spec (step 5) goes to a build session as rework (build-session, "Building a rework"), never back into this loop. Rescuing a broken architecture (a BROKEN premise, a needs-architecture-session PR) is owner-attended: a dispatched session hands it off as "Some PRs are not a review problem" (below) describes, and never attempts the rescue itself.

Load genesis-development (the shared core) first if this session has not: it holds the review-chain, evidence and private-data rules every session uses.

Mandatory read before your first commit: .claude/skills/genesis-development/references/commit-path.md. A closing session commits review fixes, and the commit gates bind it the same way. Fixing a finding also uses rules that live in .claude/skills/build-session/SKILL.md: "Instance-Fix vs Class-Fix Gate", "Debugging Discipline", "Test-First Discipline, continued", "Verify Outcomes, Not Just Tests", "Advisory is the default; a BLOCK is what needs the argument", "Guard failure semantics", "Common Traps" (the canonical-parser mandate and the guard corollaries), "CI checks" and "A blocked compound command loses EVERYTHING in it". Read the one a finding touches.

Why this session type exists

Building a PR and driving it to merge are different jobs. Fused, the first item's review loop eats the session — several compactions deep — while everything else the owner arrived with goes untouched. Splitting them makes the review loop somebody's whole job instead of everybody's tax.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

closing-session is a skill published in the GitHub repository WingedGuardian/GENesis-AGI (99 stars, last pushed today), licensed MIT. It adds 147 tokens to every session and 35,576 once invoked, about $0.0006 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-09-16.
