PRP is a collection of prompts and workflows for AI-assisted software development with Claude Code. Its Product Requirement Prompts combine product requirements, selected codebase context, and an execution runbook so a coding agent can implement a vertical slice of software. The catalogue entries are the project’s own skills, agents, instructions, hook, and plugin workflows.

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.00000 | $0.01083 |
| Opus 5.5 | $0.00000 | $0.00433 |
| Sonnet 5.5 | $0.00000 | $0.00217 |
| Haiku 4.5 | $0.00000 | $0.00108 |
Grade A, and why
prp-companion scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 17d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 63 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.
Arguments:
$ARGUMENTS(and$1,$2, ...) refer to the arguments given when this skill was invoked. Take them from the user's request; if absent, infer them from the conversation.
PRP Companion
Write one HTML page that lets a human take in a plan or review with less reading. The markdown stays the artifact that agents and later skills read: never edit it. The page is derived from it and is overwritten on every run.
Input: $ARGUMENTS — a plan (*.plan.md) or review report (pr-*-review.md). If blank, use the
newest of either in $PRP_DIR/plans/ and $PRP_DIR/reviews/. For any other kind of markdown, say
the companion covers plans and reviews only, and stop.
The agent that just wrote the artifact writes its companion, in the same context. Do not hand it to a fresh agent.
Resolve the store
# --- PRP store resolver (canonical; keep byte-identical across skills) ---
# Adopt the store that already records this root; mint a key only when none does.
_gd="$(git rev-parse --path-format=absolute --git-common-dir 2>/dev/null)"

_root="$(cd "$_root" && pwd -P)"
_name="$(basename "$_root" | tr '[:upper:]' '[:lower:]' | tr -cs 'a-z0-9' '-' | sed 's/^-*//;s/-*$//')"
_home="${PRP_HOME:-$HOME/.prp}"
_hit="$(grep -lsF "\"path\": \"$_root\"" "$_home"/*/project.json 2>/dev/null | head -1)"

Write the page
- Read the whole markdown artifact.
- Build the theme
<style>:templates/default-theme.cssverbatim, then$PRP_DIR/companion.cssverbatim after it when that file exists, so any token the store's file leaves out keeps its default. A host UI that wants pages in its own look writes that file; prp never writes it. - Read
templates/companion.mdand follow it exactly. - Write the page beside the markdown: same directory, final
.mdreplaced by.html(x.plan.md→x.plan.html,pr-12-review.md→pr-12-review.html). - Before reporting, check the page against the markdown once: every risk, finding, required outcome, acceptance criterion and changed Part is on the page as the markdown's own words, and nothing on the page is absent from the markdown. Fix the page, never the markdown.
- When the artifact is a review or a plan and
command -v benchsucceeds, the page is live in helm: readtemplates/live.mdand follow it. It adds the page's script, writes<stem>.data.jsonbeside the page and opens the page. Otherwise the page stays static.
What ships with it
4 files beside SKILL.md in the same directory: the scripts, references and assets a skill reads on demand. Not counted in the per-session cost; read them before you install if any of them is executable.
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

prp-companion is a skill published in the GitHub repository Wirasm/prp (2,264 stars, last pushed 18d ago), licensed MIT. It costs nothing until one of its globs matches a file; then it loads 1,083 tokens. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-10-01.
