cancel-contemplative

cancel-contemplative is a skill for Claude Code from Wondermonger-daydreaming/claude-skills-library. It costs 11 tokens per session (217 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A command for stopping an active Contemplative Loop, a process that repeats a task over multiple numbered iterations. It checks for the loop's local state file, removes it when present, and reports the iteration reached.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it when you need to cancel a running Contemplative Loop and report its last recorded iteration.
Why use it?
It provides a defined way to stop the repeated process and tells you whether one was active. Without that check, it would be unclear whether there was anything to cancel.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00011 $0.00217
Opus 5 $0.00005 $0.00109
Sonnet 5 $0.00002 $0.00043
Haiku 4.5 $0.00001 $0.00022

Security

Grade A, and why

cancel-contemplative scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 12d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Cancel Contemplative Loop

To cancel the contemplative loop:

  1. Check if .claude/contemplative-loop.local.md exists using Bash: test -f .claude/contemplative-loop.local.md && echo "EXISTS" || echo "NOT_FOUND"

  2. If NOT_FOUND: Say "No active contemplative loop found."

  3. If EXISTS:

    • Read .claude/contemplative-loop.local.md to get the current iteration number from the iteration: field
    • Remove the file using Bash: rm .claude/contemplative-loop.local.md
    • Report: "Cancelled contemplative loop (was at iteration N)" where N is the iteration value
Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
