Getting it into your agent
One page per mod, every tool's command on it. A separate URL per tool would split the same page into five that compete with each other.

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.00015 | $0.00580 |
| Opus 5.5 | $0.00006 | $0.00232 |

Grade A, and why
systematic-debugging scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 4d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 33 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.
Systematic Debugging
Diagnose first, then fix only the confirmed cause, then prove the original behavior independently.
Input
Start with a specific defect, expected behavior, available evidence, reproduction constraints, and permission to edit.
Method
- Run the composed root-cause-analysis method. A decisive
no-defectresult is successful completion with no edit. Stop unsuccessfully if it returnsblockedorexhausted. - Preserve the confirmed trigger-to-symptom causal chain and its evidence per edge.
- In interactive chat only, after
confirmed, load thedesignskill and propose the fix through it; its scope check decides whether approval is needed, and approval resumes this method. Agents of a workflow and subagents follow their brief autonomously. - Create the smallest diagnosis-scoped regression through the composed test-driven-development method. If honest RED cannot be established, use only that method's declared fallback or blocked result.
- If any new observation refutes a causal edge, return to diagnosis. Do not continue editing a disproved explanation.
- Implement the smallest fix at the point where valid behavior first becomes invalid. Change one causal mechanism, not a cluster of symptoms.
- Apply the composed verification method through fresh verification of the original symptom, focused regression, and intended diff on the present tree. Always observe the original symptom on the surface where the report observed it, such as the installed binary, the client, or the command that the user ran. A passing regression test never replaces this observation. Past observations, including GREEN from the fix, guide hypotheses only, never current acceptance. Run the fewest decisive fresh checks plus explicit repository gates; do not add an unrelated adjacent path or full suite. Within this verification pass, one fresh check may prove multiple claims; stop once the required evidence is complete.
Stop and result
Stop with fixed, no-defect, blocked, failed-verification, or escalated. For no-defect, report paths inspected now, fresh observations, and why they decisively settle the report. For a fix, preserve the causal chain and report changed files, RED and GREEN evidence or the declared fallback, fix summary, fresh final proof, and remaining risk. State confidence per the composed verification method.
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

systematic-debugging is a skill published in the GitHub repository wsauret/flywheel (19 stars, last pushed today), licensed Apache-2.0. It adds 15 tokens to every session and 580 once invoked, about $0.0001 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-11-03.
