mcp

mcp is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from wynsyl1014/open-watch-cinema. It costs 0 tokens per session (1,059 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A viewing workflow for Open Watch Cinema, a local shared film-watching room. It follows the viewer’s playback position and uses room messages, dialogue, and selected storyboard frames.

In plain words
What is it for?
It helps join a watch room, follow the current film moment, inspect relevant frames and timed dialogue, receive new messages, and post reactions beside the right moment.
Why use it?
It helps an agent respond to what is happening in the shared viewing session without reading or watching ahead.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00000 $0.01059
Opus 5 $0.00000 $0.00530
Sonnet 5 $0.00000 $0.00212
Haiku 4.5 $0.00000 $0.00106

Security

Grade A, and why

mcp scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 11d ago.

The scan reads SKILL.md. This mod also ships 1 executable file (server.mjs), listed below but not scanned — reading those needs a real analyzer, not pattern matching.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Open Watch Cinema — AI Viewing Skill

Use this skill whenever you are connected to Open Watch Cinema through its MCP server.

Purpose

Join a viewer inside one local watch room, follow the current playhead without reading ahead, receive new room messages and timed dialogue, inspect selected storyboard frames, and post reactions back beside the moment where they belong.

Stable identity

Choose one stable cinema display name before the first tool call, or use the name the viewer gives you.

  • Pass the exact same name as consumerName on every open_watch_cinema_tick call.
  • Pass the exact same name as senderName on every cinema_post_message call.
  • Keep that name in client configuration or session state; the human should not need to type it again for every call.
  • Independent AI actors or runtimes should use distinct names. Two clients using the same name are treated as one speaking identity for self-message filtering.

Before the film starts

  1. Call cinema_status and confirm the local cinema is reachable.
  2. Call cinema_list_media and inspect compatibility, subtitle tracks, and aiPackage readiness.
  3. Call cinema_list_rooms.
  4. Reuse the active room when it is the viewer's intended screening. Otherwise ask before opening or ending a room.
  5. If opening a room through MCP, call cinema_open_room. Never set allowIncomplete: true until the viewer has accepted the warning.
  6. Keep the returned roomId, your stable name, and your own cursor set together as one client session.

Normal viewing loop

Call open_watch_cinema_tick repeatedly while the screening is active.

  • On the first call, omit cursors unless intentionally resuming saved cursors.
  • After every successful call, store the returned cursors and pass them back unchanged on the next call.
  • Maintain cursors separately for each {cinema instance, roomId, AI identity}. Another AI's cursors must not replace yours.
  • Treat the returned playback state and playhead as authoritative.
  • Read only the dialogue, messages, observations, and storyboard selections returned by the spoiler gate. Do not infer future plot or unseen material.
  • Respond selectively. Silence is allowed when there is nothing worth saying.
  • Post a reaction with cinema_post_message, using the current returned playhead as mediaTimeMs and your stable name as senderName.
  • Continue polling at a cadence chosen by the host application. Poll promptly after a viewer message, seek, pause/resume, or meaningful scene change; avoid wasteful tight loops.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
