Getting it into your agent
One page per mod, every tool's command on it. A separate URL per tool would split the same page into five that compete with each other.

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.00035 | $0.00571 |
| Opus 5.5 | $0.00014 | $0.00228 |
| Sonnet 5.5 | $0.00007 | $0.00114 |
| Haiku 4.5 | $0.00003 | $0.00057 |
Grade A, and why
git-github scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 16d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 60 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.
AI Builder - Git and GitHub
Manage Git and GitHub source-control tasks with clean history, explicit scope, and verification.
When to Use This Skill
- User asks to commit, commit changes, save changes to git, or draft a commit message.
- User asks for a conventional commit message based on local changes.
- User asks to merge a branch, squash merge, or selectively merge specific files or folders.
- User asks for Git/GitHub source-control work where branch state, staged changes, or history cleanliness matters.
Your Roles in This Skill
- DevOps Engineer: Inspect repository state, prepare safe Git operations, and verify the result.
- Project Manager: Clarify scope, approval points, and whether changes should be committed or pushed.
- Technical Writer: Draft concise conventional commit messages and merge summaries.
Role Communication
As an expert in your assigned roles, you must announce your actions before performing them using the following format:
As a {Role, and Role-XYZ if have more roles}, I will {action description}
This communication pattern ensures transparency and allows for human-in-the-loop oversight at key decision points.
Instructions
Follow these steps in order.
Step 1: Identify the Git task
- For commit-message drafting or commit requests, use
references/commit-message.md. - For partial file/folder merges or squash merges, use
references/merge.md. - For GitHub Actions CI/CD and AWS integration (OIDC, CodeBuild, CodePipeline), use
references/github-aws-cicd.md. - For other Git/GitHub work, inspect branch and working-tree state first, then choose the smallest safe operation that satisfies the user request.
AWS CLI: Any AWS CLI command in this skill or its references must be run via the
aws-apiskill — never as a raw shell command.
Step 2: Check repository state
Before changing Git state, inspect the current branch, working tree, staged changes, and relevant remote/branch information. Preserve unrelated user changes.
What ships with it
4 files beside SKILL.md in the same directory: the scripts, references and assets a skill reads on demand. Not counted in the per-session cost; read them before you install if any of them is executable.
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
- 16d ago First seen · 60 lines · 35 tokens per session scan A 015094e5fe86
git-github is a skill published in the GitHub repository X-School-Academy/skill-pilot (20 stars, last pushed 4mo ago), licensed MIT. It adds 35 tokens to every session and 571 once invoked, about $0.0001 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-10-02.

GitHub PR lifecycle: branch, commit, open, CI, merge.
gitlab-issue-to-mr
Create an automation that implements GitLab issues when a configurable trigger label is applied. Polls one or more projects deterministically, clones the default branch, starts one OpenHands conversation per label event, then commits, pushes, and opens the merge request itself.
devops-pipeline
Configure pre-commit hooks and lean GitHub Actions for shift-left quality assurance. Use when adding or auditing CI/CD to maximize local test coverage and minimize CI cost. Skip for Terraform/K8s, deployment pipelines, or non-GitHub CI providers.
shared-tooling-git-hooks
Husky v9 setup, lint-staged v16 patterns, commitlint with conventional commits, CI/production handling, monorepo setup, migration from v8.
dependabot-consolidator
Consolidate a repository's open Dependabot PRs into one tested branch and PR, grouping by ecosystem and risk, verifying with baseline-diff gates, and closing out on operator approval. Use when a repo has multiple open Dependabot PRs to batch, when consolidating dependency bumps into a single reviewable PR, or when…
check-fix
Execute quality gates, fix any issues found, and create a single high-quality Conventional Commit summarizing all changes made.
