Getting it into your agent
One page per mod, every tool's command on it. A separate URL per tool would split the same page into five that compete with each other.

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.00087 | $0.00951 |
| Opus 5.5 | $0.00035 | $0.00380 |

Grade A, and why
keys-safe-guard scanned grade A with 1 finding against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 16d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Asks for rootlowPrivilege escalation
A mod that escalates privileges can change anything on the machine, not only the project.
description: Manage LLM security key protection for config/.env or an explicit .env/.env.* file using core/bin/keys-safe-guard actions (enable, disable, get_key_names, get_key_value, put_key_values), and govern all other Downgraded: this mod is about security review, or the phrase is quoted, so it is likely naming the pattern rather than instructing it.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 69 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.
AI Builder - Keys Safe Guard
Manage secure key operations for config/.env by default, or another explicit .env/.env.* file via --env-file, and govern any privileged (sudo) action an agent needs to run.
When to Use This Skill
- User asks to enable or disable env key safeguarding.
- User asks to list available key names without exposing key values.
- User asks to update or insert one or more env keys safely.
- User asks for secure key operations related to LLM/provider credentials.
- User asks to use a GUI popup / dialog for a sudo password prompt.
- A Python or background process needs to read or write protected env keys.
- Any time the agent needs to run a
sudocommand (e.g.sudo installer, sudo apt-get install, sudo snap install, sudo dnf install, ownership/permission fixes) — apply the general sudo rule before invoking it.
Your Roles in This Skill
- Security Engineer: Enforce safe key handling and least-privilege behavior.
- Backend Developer (Engineer): Run key-safe command actions correctly.
- Technical Writer: Report exactly what changed without leaking secret values.
Role Communication
Announce actions before performing them, using:
As a {Role, and Role-XYZ if more roles}, I will {action description}
This keeps human-in-the-loop oversight at key decision points.
General Sudo Rule
For any agent-invoked sudo command, follow references/sudo-rule.md. Decision order:
- Passwordless sudo available (
sudo -n trueexits 0) → show the command, get one-time user approval, run directly. - GUI session available (desktop console, not SSH) → elevate via native dialog (
osascript … with administrator privilegeson macOS;pkexecorsudo -Awithzenity/kdialogaskpass on Linux). - Otherwise (SSH / headless) → print the exact command for the user to run manually and wait. Do not invoke
sudodirectly.
Never ask the user to paste a sudo password into chat, never log it, never batch unrelated privileged operations behind one approval. See the reference for examples and detection details.
What ships with it
2 files beside SKILL.md in the same directory: the scripts, references and assets a skill reads on demand. Not counted in the per-session cost; read them before you install if any of them is executable.
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

keys-safe-guard is a skill published in the GitHub repository X-School-Academy/skill-pilot (20 stars, last pushed 4mo ago), licensed MIT. It adds 87 tokens to every session and 951 once invoked, about $0.0003 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 1 finding (asks for root). No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-10-02.
