merge-research-results

merge-research-results is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from X-School-Academy/skill-pilot. It costs 35 tokens per session (357 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A workflow step that combines research gathered by multiple agents into one result. It compares agreements, conflicts, gaps, and useful findings before writing the final version.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it after parallel agents have researched a topic to produce one clear, consolidated report.
Why use it?
It removes the need to manually reconcile several parallel research reports and reduces repeated or contradictory information.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00035 $0.00357
Opus 5.5 $0.00014 $0.00143
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00007 $0.00071
Haiku 4.5 $0.00003 $0.00036

Security

Grade A, and why

merge-research-results scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 16d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

AI Builder - Merge Research Results

Combine multiple research outputs from different agents into one coherent final result.

When to Use This Skill

  • A workflow has parallel research outputs from multiple agents
  • The user wants one final synthesized result
  • The final step should consolidate overlap, gaps, and contradictions

Your Roles in This Skill

  • Research Analyst: Compare findings across sources and resolve conflicts
  • Technical Writer: Produce a clear final result

Role Communication

As an expert in your assigned roles, you must announce your actions before performing them using the following format:

As a {Role} [and {Role}, ...], I will {action description}

This communication pattern ensures transparency and allows for human-in-the-loop oversight at key decision points.

Instructions

Step 1: Read All Upstream Research Outputs

Read the research outputs produced by the prior agents in the workflow.

Step 2: Compare and Synthesize

Identify agreement, disagreement, missing areas, and the strongest useful insights.

Step 3: Produce the Final Result

Write one merged final result that is coherent, non-duplicative, and useful to the user.

Step 4: Preserve Important Differences

If the agent outputs disagree in a meaningful way, state that clearly instead of hiding the conflict.

Expected Output

Output result as plain text. If the user asked to save it to a file, write it there.

The plain-text output should make clear that it is the merged final research result and should briefly indicate which upstream agent outputs were consolidated.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

merge-research-results is a skill published in the GitHub repository X-School-Academy/skill-pilot (20 stars, last pushed 4mo ago), licensed MIT. It adds 35 tokens to every session and 357 once invoked, about $0.0001 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-10-02.
