flutter-animations

flutter-animations is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from yendangn/flutter-app-builder. It costs 60 tokens per session (653 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A guide for adding motion to Flutter interfaces, including entrance effects, loading animations, list animations, hero transitions, and page changes.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it for flutter_animate or Lottie wrappers, staggered lists, AnimatedSwitcher, AnimatedContainer, hero transitions, and respecting disabled-animation settings.
Why use it?
It keeps animation code consistent and helps avoid hardcoded timings, direct package use in feature code, or motion that interferes with accessibility.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5 $0.00060 $0.00653
Opus 5 $0.00030 $0.00327
Sonnet 5 $0.00012 $0.00131
Haiku 4.5 $0.00006 $0.00065

Security

Grade A, and why

flutter-animations scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 4d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Flutter Animations

Key rules

  • AppAnimations defines all duration and curve constants — never hardcode Duration(milliseconds: 300) or Curves.easeInOut inline.
  • Never import package:flutter_animate or package:lottie directly in feature code. Use the app-owned wrappers:
    • AppAnimateX extension methods (from app_animate.dart) for widget animations
    • AppLottie widget (from app_lottie.dart) for Lottie files
  • Staggered lists: use .appStaggeredItem(index: i) inside itemBuilder — handles delay calculation automatically.
  • Hero transitions: Hero(tag: 'task-${task.id}', child: ...) on both source and destination. Tag must be unique per item.
  • Prefer declarative animations (AppAnimateX extensions) over imperative (AnimationController) unless fine-grained control is required.
  • Motion must not impede usability — respect MediaQuery.disableAnimations.

AppAnimateX extension methods

All available on any Widget via import of app_animate.dart:

child.appFadeIn({Duration? duration, Duration? delay})
child.appSlideUp({Duration? duration, Duration? delay})
child.appSlideDown({Duration? duration, Duration? delay})
child.appScaleIn({Duration? duration, Duration? delay})
child.appEntrance({Duration? duration, Duration? delay})   // fade + slide up
child.appFadeOut({Duration? duration, Duration? delay})
child.appShakeX({Duration? duration})   // horizontal shake — error feedback
child.appShakeY({Duration? duration})
child.appStaggeredItem({required int index})   // staggered list entrance

Usage examples

// Single widget entrance
Text('Hello').appFadeIn(delay: AppAnimations.staggerDelay * 2)

// Staggered list
itemBuilder: (context, task, i) => TaskListTile(task: task)
    .appStaggeredItem(index: i)

// Banner fade in
Container(...).appFadeIn()

// Scale in on load
Icon(Icons.task_alt).appScaleIn()

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
