flutter-feature

flutter-feature is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from yendangn/flutter-app-builder. It costs 68 tokens per session (1,107 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A hands-on guide for building one complete Flutter feature using Cubit, a state-management pattern, plus a repository, use cases, dependency setup and a page.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to create a new screen, connect its BlocProvider, define actions and state classes, add dependency injection, and assemble the feature end to end.
Why use it?
It keeps the parts of a feature organized and makes loading, success, empty and error states explicit instead of scattering them through the interface.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5 $0.00068 $0.01107
Opus 5 $0.00034 $0.00553
Sonnet 5 $0.00014 $0.00221
Haiku 4.5 $0.00007 $0.00111

Measured 4d ago against content hash 9e07c820de21, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-08-30, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

flutter-feature scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 4d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

When to use this skill vs flutter-architecture

Scenario Use this skill Use flutter-architecture
Build a single feature end-to-end Yes — cubit + use case + repo + page No
Understand layer boundaries + SOLID/DRY No Yes — full layer diagram + rules
Scaffold a new screen with BlocProvider Yes No
Decide where domain logic lives No Yes — use case vs repo vs cubit
Wire DI module for a feature Yes No

Both skills share the same architecture. This skill is the hands-on builder; flutter-architecture is the design authority. Co-load both when building a new feature for the first time.

Key rules

  • BlocProvider at the page level — never higher in the tree unless shared across routes.
  • create: (_) => getIt<MyCubit>()only place getIt is called in widget code.
  • Cubit depends on use cases, not repositories. One use case per action.
  • State is a sealed class with Equatable. Use separate subclasses for loading/loaded/error/empty — no boolean flags.
  • BlocConsumer = BlocBuilder + BlocListener combined when you need both UI and side effects.
  • safeEmit() instead of emit() everywhere — never emit after cubit is closed.

Pattern: UseCase

// domain/usecases/get_tasks_usecase.dart
final class GetTasksUseCase extends UseCase<TaskPage, ({int page, int limit})> {
  GetTasksUseCase({required TaskRepository repository}) : _repository = repository;
  final TaskRepository _repository;

  @override
  Future<TaskPage> call(({int page, int limit}) params) =>
      _repository.getTasks(page: params.page, limit: params.limit);
}

Use NoParams for use cases that take no arguments. One call() method only — no business logic.

Pattern: Repository interface + impl

// domain/repositories/task_repository.dart
abstract interface class TaskRepository {
  Future<TaskPage> getTasks({required int page, required int limit});
}

// data/repositories/task_repository_impl.dart
final class TaskRepositoryImpl with BaseRepository implements TaskRepository {
  TaskRepositoryImpl({required TaskRemoteDataSource remote}) : _remote = remote;
  final TaskRemoteDataSource _remote;

  @override
  Future<TaskPage> getTasks({required int page, required int limit}) =>
      safeCall(() async {
        final dtos = await _remote.getTasks(page: page, limit: limit);
        return TaskPage(tasks: dtos.map((d) => d.toEntity()).toList(), hasMore: dtos.length >= limit);
      });
}

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

flutter-feature is a skill published in the GitHub repository yendangn/flutter-app-builder (5 stars, last pushed 2mo ago), licensed MIT. It adds 68 tokens to every session and 1,107 once invoked, about $0.0003 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
