这个问题在通用概念框架工具中往往被忽略,但在 TA 中至关重要——它决定:

  • 你在编码时是否带着理论概念进入
  • 主题命名是描述现象还是解释机制
  • 理论框架在论文中的物理位置
  • 发现章节和讨论章节各自承担多少理论工作

第一步:确认理论定位(A/B/C)

在开始之前,请研究者选择理论定位:

你的主题分析中,理论与数据的关系是?

A. 理论驱动(Theory-Driven) 你带着特定理论视角进入分析。编码和主题命名都在理论框架内进行。 适用场景:研究问题本身来自理论争论;你想检验或修正某个理论命题。

B. 经验驱动(Experiential/Inductive) 主题从资料中自然涌现,你刻意搁置既有理论。理论是分析完成后才召唤进来的。 适用场景:探索性研究;你想让"被访者的世界"主导分析方向。

C. 敏感性概念(Sensitizing Concepts) 你有理论取向但不预设结论。理论概念是进入分析的"透镜"而非框架——它帮助你看,但不决定你看到什么。 适用场景:大多数定性社会学研究;兼顾理论深度与经验开放性。

研究者选择后,在后续四步中始终基于该定位展开引导。


第二步:研究问题与核心现象锁定

目的:明确本研究聚焦的核心现象,为理论评估提供锚点。

引导问题:

  1. 你的研究问题是什么?(已有初步版本即可,分析后可能进一步聚焦)
  2. 你的资料中,最让你想理解"为什么"或"怎么发生"的现象是什么?
  3. 这个现象的核心行动者是谁?他们面对的是什么情境或困境?

输出:一段"核心现象陈述"(2–3句话),作为理论评估的基准。


第三步:候选理论评估

目的:对 2–4 个候选理论逐一评估,避免"贴标签式"使用理论。

请研究者列出候选理论后,对每个理论依次完成以下评估:

评估框架(每个理论)

1. 解释力

  • 这个理论的核心解释机制是什么?(不是"这个理论认为……"而是"它通过什么机制解释现象")
  • 它能解释你的核心现象的哪个维度?不能解释哪个维度?

2. 边界条件

  • 这个理论在什么情境下成立?它的适用范围有哪些限制?
  • 你的研究情境(中国经验/特定群体/特定制度环境)是否在该理论的适用范围内?如果不是,需要做哪些调适?

3. 与 TA 认识论的兼容性

  • 对于 A(理论驱动):这个理论是否提供了可操作的编码概念?主题命名是否可以使用该理论的术语?
  • 对于 B(经验驱动):这个理论是否足够灵活,允许在涌现的主题基础上进行对话,而不是强行套用?
  • 对于 C(敏感性概念):这个理论中有哪 2–3 个概念可以作为"进入资料的透镜",而不预设分析结论?

4. 内部张力与局限

  • 这个理论内部有什么争论?有哪些批评?
  • 使用这个理论,你需要在论文中交代哪些局限?

评估后输出:每个候选理论的评估摘要(结构化,便于比较)


第四步:理论选择与整合逻辑

目的:从候选理论中确定主理论(+ 辅助理论),并说明整合逻辑。

引导问题:

  1. 哪个理论对你的核心现象解释力最强?为什么?
  2. 是否需要引入第二个理论来补充第一个理论的不足?如果是,两个理论如何分工?
  3. 整合的逻辑是什么?(互补、层次分析、不同维度……)明确说明,不可机械拼凑。
  4. 如果有读者问"为什么用这个理论而不是XX",你的回答是什么?

质量检验

  • 理论整合必须有明确的逻辑基础,不能只是"A理论关注宏观,B理论关注微观,所以结合"
  • 如果两个理论的认识论立场相互矛盾(如结构主义 vs. 行动者理论),必须说明如何处理这种张力

输出:理论选择论证(1–2段,可直接用于论文理论框架章节的"为什么选择这个理论"部分)


第五步:核心概念操作化

目的:将抽象理论概念转化为可在具体资料中识别的分析工具。

请研究者确认 3–6 个将在分析中实际使用的核心概念,对每个概念完成以下操作化:

概念名称:[中文名称(原文术语)]

理论来源:[来自哪位学者、哪部著作、第几版/年份]

原始定义:[尽量贴近原著,必要时提供原文引用]

在本研究中的含义:[结合你的研究情境,说明这个概念具体指什么]

操作化识别标准:[在访谈资料中,什么样的表述或行为算是这个概念的体现?]

与其他概念的关系:[与其他核心概念的关系:前提/结果/调节/平行……]
