council-revisit

council-revisit is a skill for Claude Code from yogirk/agent-council. It costs 45 tokens per session (488 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A way to repeat an earlier Agent Council decision using the codebase as it exists now. An Agent Council is a group of agents giving opinions on the same question.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it with a past session ID to revisit a living technical decision and compare the new council responses with the originals.
Why use it?
The code may have changed since the original decision, so its earlier recommendation may no longer fit. A side-by-side comparison shows how the opinions have changed.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00045 $0.00488
Opus 5.5 $0.00018 $0.00195
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00009 $0.00098
Haiku 4.5 $0.00005 $0.00049

Measured 2mo ago against content hash 9e22fda479a0, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-10-07, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

council-revisit scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 2mo ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Council Revisit (Living Decisions)

Re-run a past council deliberation with the current state of the codebase. Produces a side-by-side comparison showing how the council's opinions have evolved.

Usage

The user invokes /council-revisit <session-id>.

If the user doesn't provide a session ID, run /council-list first to show available sessions.

Run

Replace {SESSION_ID} with the session ID the user provided.

COUNCIL_BIN=""; for _d in "$HOME/.claude/skills/agent-council" "$HOME/.agents/skills/agent-council" "$HOME/.gemini/skills/agent-council" "$(git rev-parse --show-toplevel 2>/dev/null)"; do [ -x "$_d/bin/council" ] && COUNCIL_BIN="$_d/bin/council" && break; [ -x "$_d/council" ] && COUNCIL_BIN="$_d/council" && break; done; [ -z "$COUNCIL_BIN" ] && COUNCIL_BIN="$(which council 2>/dev/null || echo "bin/council")"
SLUG=$(basename "$(git rev-parse --show-toplevel 2>/dev/null || pwd)")
SESSION_DIR=$($COUNCIL_BIN revisit {SESSION_ID} --project "$SLUG")
echo "SESSION_DIR=$SESSION_DIR"

After dispatch

Follow the same Steps 2-5 from the /council skill:

  1. Read the opinion files from $SESSION_DIR/stage1/
  2. Synthesize as chairman (you have the original question + new opinions)
  3. Save synthesis.json to $SESSION_DIR/
  4. Tell the user:

Open the viewer to compare original vs revisit side-by-side.

Next steps:

  • Record outcome: /council-outcome {SESSION_ID} "what happened"
  • Browse all sessions: /council-list
Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
