drive

drive is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from zackbart/connecta. It costs 1 tokens per session (819 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A connection to the signed-in person's Google Drive, including files in shared drives that person can open.

In plain words
What is it for?
Finding files by name, text, type, folder, or date, then reading or processing the matching files.
Why use it?
It lets an agent find and read accessible files without using another account or seeing files the person cannot access.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00001 $0.00819
Opus 5.5 $0.00000 $0.00328
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00000 $0.00164
Haiku 4.5 $0.00000 $0.00082

Security

Grade A, and why

drive scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 6d ago.

The scan reads SKILL.md. This mod also ships 4 executable files (fixtures.ts, index.ts, provider.test.ts, …), listed below but not scanned — reading those needs a real analyzer, not pattern matching.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

How it starts

The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 74 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.

Google Drive usage

Acts as the signed-in person's own Google Drive through Workspace delegation: what they can open, and nothing they cannot.

Connection purpose:

Whose Drive

Every call acts as the Workspace address deployment config maps the caller to, and reaches exactly the files that person can open, shared drives included. No argument names an account. A call with none mapped fails auth_required; only an operator can change the mapping. A missing file and one this person cannot see fail alike — Google does not distinguish them.

Finding files

  • search_files takes Drive query syntax: name contains 'x', fullText contains 'x', mimeType = '…', '<folderId>' in parents, modifiedTime > '2026-01-01T00:00:00'. Quote values with single quotes. Trashed files are left out unless includeTrashed. incompleteSearch: true means Drive gave up before searching everything; narrow the query or the corpus. Shared drives: list_shared_drives, then corpora: "drive" with its driveId.
  • Page with page.nextCursor and the same arguments; a cursor from another tool or other arguments is refused. A page can stop short of limit to stay under maxBytes; the cursor resumes at the first row left out, and fails conflict if that page changed meanwhile — start over then.
  • Ids come from these reads or a Drive URL (/d/<id>/, /folders/<id>); never guess one.

Reading content

  • get_file_content exports Docs as Markdown, Sheets as CSV of the first sheet only, and Slides as plain text; reads text files as text; and returns other files as base64 when the encoded file fits the result. Anything else — a larger binary, a drawing, a form, a folder, a shortcut — comes back as format: "unavailable" with a note, never as an empty success.
  • Text is capped by maxChars; a cut ends with a truncation marker and contentTruncated: true. Drive exports at most 10 MB.
  • Every read stays under maxBytes of JSON. The default is what one result can carry into execute_code, so a program always receives it. A larger maxBytes (up to 4 MiB — a binary of up to 1 MiB) reaches only a direct call_tool, which pages it with connecta.result.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

drive is a skill published in the GitHub repository zackbart/connecta (0 stars, last pushed today), licensed MIT. It adds 1 tokens to every session and 819 once invoked, about $0.0000 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-10-08.
