init-guard

init-guard is a skill for Claude Code from zhangguangzhi001-bot/ai-project-guard. It costs 64 tokens per session (980 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A guided setup for adding AI governance files to an existing project. These files give an AI coding assistant project-specific rules and safeguards.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to initialize governance files such as CLAUDE.md through the AI Project Guard command-line tool.
Why use it?
It helps introduce consistent rules into a project that was not created with those safeguards.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00064 $0.00980
Opus 5 $0.00032 $0.00490
Sonnet 5 $0.00013 $0.00196
Haiku 4.5 $0.00006 $0.00098

Security

Grade A, and why

init-guard scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 12d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Init Guard

Guide Claude Code through using the AI Project Guard CLI to initialize governance files in the current project.

This skill is a workflow entry point. The CLI is the source of truth for generation logic.

When to Use

  • User enters a legacy project and wants to set up Claude Code governance files.
  • User asks for "初始化 AI 治理", "生成 CLAUDE.md", "add guardrails", "setup project guard".
  • User runs /init-guard or says "init guard".

Core Principle

Prefer the CLI command over hand-generating files:

npx github:zhangguangzhi001-bot/ai-project-guard init --profile claude-code

For preview-only mode:

npx github:zhangguangzhi001-bot/ai-project-guard init --profile claude-code --dry-run

For repeatable/non-interactive initialization, prepare an answers JSON file and run:

npx github:zhangguangzhi001-bot/ai-project-guard init --profile claude-code --answers ./answers.json --dry-run

If the CLI is already installed globally:

ai-project-guard init --profile claude-code

Workflow

Step 1: Confirm target project

Before running anything, confirm:

  • The current directory is the target project root.
  • The user wants governance files written into this project.
  • Whether to run --dry-run first.

Step 2: Run dry-run first when unsure

Recommended first command:

npx github:zhangguangzhi001-bot/ai-project-guard init --profile claude-code --dry-run

This previews generated files and detects conflicts without writing.

Step 3: Run init

If the user approves, run:

npx github:zhangguangzhi001-bot/ai-project-guard init --profile claude-code

By default, the CLI auto-scans the current project and does not ask questions. If the user wants to manually supplement key context, run:

npx github:zhangguangzhi001-bot/ai-project-guard init --profile claude-code --interactive

--interactive asks a short questionnaire:

  1. Project name
  2. Project summary
  3. Core business flow / main area to protect
  4. Dangerous modules/files
  5. Real verification commands
  6. Current branch/focus

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

It adds 64 tokens to every session and 980 once invoked, about $0.0003 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
