Getting it into your agent
One page per mod, every tool's command on it. A separate URL per tool would split the same page into five that compete with each other.

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5 | $0.00081 | $0.02344 |
| Opus 5 | $0.00041 | $0.01172 |
| Sonnet 5 | $0.00016 | $0.00469 |
| Haiku 4.5 | $0.00008 | $0.00234 |
Grade A, and why
tree-reader scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 5d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 245 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.
/tree-reader — Read-Only Knowledge Tree Viewer
Portable read-only viewer for a knowledge tree. Uses ONLY built-in tools (Read, Grep, Glob) — no Python, no scripts, no external dependencies.
Setup
In a Mind-framework project (with local-paths.conf): works automatically.
Standalone (shared with another agent):
- Copy this directory to
.claude/skills/tree-reader/ - Uncomment and set the TREE_DIR line in Step 0 below
- Done. Use any sub-command.
Sub-Commands
/tree-reader read <key> — Read node metadata + .md content
/tree-reader find <query> — Search nodes by keyword
/tree-reader stats — Tree health overview
/tree-reader browse [key] — List children (root if no key)
/tree-reader path <key> — Show ancestry chain to root
Step 0: Resolve TREE_DIR
Run this before every sub-command to set TREE_DIR.
Standalone mode — uncomment ONE line and set your path:
# TREE_DIR = "C:/Users/Shared/my-world/knowledge/tree"
# TREE_DIR = "/mnt/sharepoint/knowledge/tree"
Dynamic mode (default) — resolve from project config:
1. Read: {MIND_AGENT}/local-paths.conf
(if MIND_AGENT not set: Glob for */local-paths.conf → use first match)
2. Extract the value after "WORLD_PATH=" on the matching line
3. TREE_DIR = {WORLD_PATH}/knowledge/tree
File Path Resolution
Node file: values in _tree.yaml use the virtual prefix world/knowledge/tree/.
To get the real path, replace that prefix with {TREE_DIR}/.
Example: file: "world/knowledge/tree/intelligence/core-engine.md"
becomes {TREE_DIR}/intelligence/core-engine.md.
_tree.yaml Structure
The index file has a header (last_updated, tree_growth_log, etc.) followed
by a nodes: section. All nodes are in a flat dictionary at 2-space indent
under nodes:, regardless of tree depth. Properties are at 4-space indent.
nodes:
node-key: # ← 2-space indent (the key to grep for)
file: world/knowledge/tree/... # ← 4-space indent (properties)
depth: 3
parent: parent-key
children: [child-a, child-b] # may span multiple lines
child_count: 2
summary: Brief description...
confidence: 0.85
capability_level: EXPLOIT # EXPLORE | CALIBRATE | EXPLOIT
growth_state: stable
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

tree-reader is a skill published in the GitHub repository zkysar1/Claude-Mind (5 stars, last pushed yesterday), licensed MIT. It adds 81 tokens to every session and 2,344 once invoked, about $0.0004 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.

hive.browser-automation
Required before any hive-browser CLI command. The browser is driven from the terminal by running hive-browser ... --json via terminalexec — not via MCP tools. Teaches the browser lifecycle rules (the bridge attaches to the USER'S running Chrome — never kill or launch browser processes; timeouts are transport issues…
hive.linkedin-automation
Read before automating LinkedIn with browser tools. Concrete patterns for breaking colony work into parallel worker jobs via runplaybook — when fan-out helps, how to model the goal as a tracker table, write the worker skill, author the playbook, pilot, and let convergence retry/resume the gap.

Read before automating X / Twitter with browser tools. Verified flows for post, reply, delete, search-and-engage, plus the Draft.js compose quirks that silently disable the send button. Set up a Slack notification channel (Sentinel) for a colony by driving the browser — reuse or create the "Hive Sentinel" Slack app from a JSON manifest, install it, capture the bot + app tokens, create/select the channel via the Slack API, and turn Sentinel on so the colony can ping the user on Slack and accept…

Author a new Agent Skill for a Hive agent that conforms to the Agent Skills specification (SKILL.md with YAML frontmatter, optional scripts/references/assets directories). Use when the user asks to create, scaffold, add, or package a new skill for a Hive agent.
