geonode

geonode is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from znlgis/opengis-skills. It costs 120 tokens per session (4,830 once invoked), scanned B, original, MIT.

A Django-based web portal for publishing and managing geographic data. It combines a catalogue, maps, metadata, user permissions, and standard map-service links in one deployable system.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to run an organisation's geographic-data portal, upload or replace resources through its API, edit metadata, manage users and groups, and publish WMS or WFS services.
Why use it?
It removes the need to assemble separate tools for uploading datasets, describing them, controlling access, and exposing them through common geographic web services. Docker Compose provides the documented deployment path.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00120 $0.04830
Opus 5.5 $0.00048 $0.01932
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00024 $0.00966
Haiku 4.5 $0.00012 $0.00483

Security

Grade B, and why

geonode scanned grade B with 2 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured today.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

A mod that escalates privileges can change anything on the machine, not only the project.

GPL-2.0-or-later

  • Celery + Redis:
  • uWSGI + nginx(或仅 Django 开发服务器):对外服务与静态资源

方式一:Docker Compose(推荐,官方主路径)

git clone https://github.com/GeoNode/geonode.git
cd geonode

# 生成 .env(随机密码、OAuth2 client、站点地址)
python create-envfile.py --env_type dev --hostname localhost

docker compose build
docker compose up -d

create-envfile.py 的关键参数:

--env_type dev(DEBUG 开、无 SSL)、test(自签证书)、prod(申请 Let's Encrypt 证书)

docker compose logs -f django

docker exec -it django4geonode /bin/bash

docker run -d --name geonode -p 8000:8000 geonode/geonode:5.1.1

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

geonode is a skill published in the GitHub repository znlgis/opengis-skills (75 stars, last pushed today), licensed MIT. It adds 120 tokens to every session and 4,830 once invoked, about $0.0005 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it B with 2 findings (asks for root, makes network calls). No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-10-28.
