node-red

node-red is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from znlgis/opengis-skills. It costs 66 tokens per session (4,749 once invoked), scanned B, original, MIT.

A low-code tool for connecting devices, APIs, and online services as visual data flows. Nodes pass JavaScript messages between steps, and flows can be edited in a browser.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to build IoT flows, connect MQTT devices, expose or call HTTP APIs, transform messages, and display data on dashboards.
Why use it?
It lets you connect inputs, processing steps, and outputs without writing a separate application for every integration.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00066 $0.04749
Opus 5.5 $0.00026 $0.01900

Security

Grade B, and why

node-red scanned grade B with 1 finding against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured today.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Asks for rootmediumPrivilege escalation

A mod that escalates privileges can change anything on the machine, not only the project.

流(flow)在浏览器中的编辑器里以拖拽方式搭建,保存为 JSON(默认 flows_<hostname>.json)。

  • 节点(node):流的处理单元,分为输入(inject、mqtt in、http in)、处理(function、change、switch、json)、输出(debug、mqtt out、http response)三类

# 全局安装 Node-RED(Windows 去掉 sudo)
npm install -g --unsafe-perm node-red

node-red

Docker

# 镜像名为 nodered/node-red(1.0 起),映射 1880 端口并持久化 /data
docker run -it -p 1880:1880 -v node_red_data:/data --name mynodered nodered/node-red

docker-compose.yml 参考:

version: "3.7"

services:
  node-red:
    image: nodered/node-red:latest
    environment:
      - TZ=Asia/Shanghai
    ports:
      - "1880:1880"
    volumes:
      - node-red-data:/data

volumes:
  node-red-data:

(String/Number/Boolean/Array/Object/Buffer/Null)

Phone[2].type。

http in 输入 暴露 HTTP 端点,生成 msg.req/msg.res

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

node-red is a skill published in the GitHub repository znlgis/opengis-skills (64 stars, last pushed yesterday), licensed MIT. It adds 66 tokens to every session and 4,749 once invoked, about $0.0003 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it B with 1 finding (asks for root). No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-10-16.
