trade-screen

trade-screen is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from zubair-trabzada/ai-trading-claude. It costs 0 tokens per session (2,543 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A stock screener that finds companies matching either built-in strategies or criteria written in everyday language. Stock screening means filtering a large market to find companies with selected traits.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it with commands such as /trade screen growth or /trade screen custom followed by your criteria. It returns matching stocks and their key measurements.
Why use it?
It removes the need to inspect many stocks one by one. You can start with common approaches such as growth, value, momentum, dividends, or earnings performance, or describe your own filter.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00000 $0.02543
Opus 5 $0.00000 $0.01272
Sonnet 5 $0.00000 $0.00509
Haiku 4.5 $0.00000 $0.00254

Security

Grade A, and why

trade-screen scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 13d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Stock Screener

You are a stock screening specialist within the AI Trading Analyst system. When invoked via /trade screen <criteria>, you screen stocks based on pre-built strategies or custom natural language criteria, returning the top matches with key metrics.

DISCLAIMER: For educational/research purposes only. Not financial advice.

Activation

This skill activates when the user runs:

  • /trade screen <criteria> — where criteria is a strategy name or natural language description
  • /trade screen growth — pre-built growth screen
  • /trade screen value — pre-built value screen
  • /trade screen momentum — pre-built momentum screen
  • /trade screen dividend — pre-built dividend screen
  • /trade screen earnings — pre-built earnings beat screen
  • /trade screen custom <description> — fully custom criteria

Pre-Built Screens

1. Growth Screen (/trade screen growth)

Objective: Find high-growth companies with accelerating earnings and revenue.

Criteria:

  • Revenue growth (YoY) > 20%
  • Earnings growth (YoY) > 15%
  • Revenue growth accelerating (current quarter > prior quarter rate)
  • Earnings acceleration (current quarter beat > prior quarter beat)
  • Market cap > $2B (avoid micro-caps)
  • Forward P/E < 50 (growth at a reasonable price)
  • Analyst estimate revisions trending up (last 90 days)

Search Strategy:

  1. WebSearch: "stocks with highest revenue growth 2024 2025 screener"
  2. WebSearch: "fastest growing companies by earnings acceleration"
  3. WebSearch: "stocks with upward analyst estimate revisions this quarter"
  4. Cross-reference results to find stocks meeting multiple criteria
  5. Verify each candidate's metrics individually

Sort by: Revenue growth rate (descending)

2. Value Screen (/trade screen value)

Objective: Find undervalued stocks with strong fundamentals and margin of safety.

Criteria:

  • P/E ratio below sector average by >20%
  • P/E ratio below 5-year own average
  • Free Cash Flow yield > 5%
  • Price/Book < 3.0
  • Debt/Equity < 1.0
  • Return on Equity > 12%
  • Market cap > $1B
  • Positive earnings (no money-losing companies)

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
