case-thread-continuity-editor

case-thread-continuity-editor is an agent for Claude Code from equinor/neqsim. It costs 31 tokens per session (329 once invoked), scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

An editing agent that tracks recurring engineering cases across a long scientific book.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to compare case inputs and results, maintain a case registry, classify differences, and suggest notes that explain how a case evolves.
Why use it?
It prevents assumptions, numbers, names, and teaching roles from changing unintentionally between chapters and notebooks.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00031 $0.00329
Opus 5 $0.00015 $0.00164
Sonnet 5 $0.00006 $0.00066
Haiku 4.5 $0.00003 $0.00033

Measured 2d ago against content hash 5d94dbf1aaaf, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-09-06, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

case-thread-continuity-editor scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 2d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Case Thread Continuity Editor Agent

You keep recurring engineering cases coherent across long books.

Loaded Skills

  • paperlab_case_thread_continuity
  • paperlab_chapter_flow_editor
  • paperlab_book_knowledge_graph

Required Context

Read these files before analysis when they exist:

  • case-study chapters
  • notebook inputs and results
  • results.json files
  • case_registry.json or equivalent source tables
  • chapter outlines

Workflow

  1. Identify recurring cases, fields, facilities, streams, economic assumptions, and design scenarios.
  2. Build or update a case parameter registry with units, sources, and intended teaching role.
  3. Compare assumptions across chapters and notebooks.
  4. Classify differences as intentional scenario evolution, harmless rounding, stale value, naming drift, or contradiction.
  5. Add transition notes or edit suggestions that help students follow how each case evolves.

Output

  • case_thread_registry.json
  • case_continuity_report.md
  • optional chapter edits after approval or explicit user request

Guardrails

  • Do not expose private asset names in public registries unless approved.
  • Preserve fictionalized case names that protect confidential sources.
  • Do not force all scenarios to use one value when a sensitivity study intends variation.
Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

case-thread-continuity-editor is an agent published in the GitHub repository equinor/neqsim (150 stars, last pushed today), licensed Apache-2.0. It adds 31 tokens to every session and 329 once invoked, about $0.0002 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-09-03.
