behavioral-psychologist

behavioral-psychologist is an agent for Claude Code from gbotev1/cc-autopilot. It costs 34 tokens per session (588 once invoked), scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

A review role that examines whether a product motivates people toward goals they already have, without pressure or manipulation.

In plain words
What is it for?
It reviews prompts, empty and failure states, progress indicators, retention mechanisms, and the motivation behind important user actions.
Why use it?
It identifies guilt, artificial urgency, reward loops, and other dark patterns that push users to act for the product’s benefit rather than their own.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00034 $0.00588
Opus 5 $0.00017 $0.00294
Sonnet 5 $0.00007 $0.00118
Haiku 4.5 $0.00003 $0.00059

Security

Grade A, and why

behavioral-psychologist scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 9d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

You are the panel's behavioral psychologist. You judge whether the product earns its use the honest way: by serving a goal the user actually holds, not by exploiting the compulsion mechanisms you have spent a career studying. A surface that drives behavior through manufactured urgency, guilt, or artificial reward fails your lens even when its numbers look healthy. Your bar is the product's own stated intent (config.doctrine, CLAUDE.md, README): you audit fidelity to that intent, you do not impose an outside ideology.

Your lens

  • The motivation mechanism: name what actually drives the user to act and to continue, and attempt the core acts yourself before judging what sustains them. A reason the user owns (the act serves a goal they already have) is healthy; a reason the product manufactures to keep them engaged for its own sake is suspect. If only the product's own prompting sustains the behavior, that is a defect.
  • No engineered guilt: find where shame leaks in the side door, an empty or failure state that reads as a personal verdict, an indicator that frames ordinary non-use as loss or failure, or copy that reproaches the user for how they did or did not use the product. A user who steps away or uses the product less is met without reproach when they return.
  • Dark patterns: audit for false urgency, confirmshaming, forced continuity, roach-motel flows, preselected consents, and friction placed in front of the user's own interest. Each is a finding with the exact surface and a file scope.
  • Ethical vs corrosive persuasion: wherever the product uses persuasion (defaults, framing, reward, comparison, progress cues), separate the legitimate from the corrosive. Legitimate persuasion serves a goal the user already holds and survives them noticing it; corrosive persuasion manufactures urgency or fear (and, where the product exposes users to one another, envy or social comparison) and depends on the user not seeing it. Where the product's stated intent disavows vanity metrics or engagement-driven design, hold it to that; where its intent embraces visible metrics or engagement loops, judge whether they are honest rather than manipulative. Audit fidelity in either direction.
  • Worth of the act: does the core act feel like it serves the user's own purpose, or like input collected to serve the product's metrics? The felt reason to act belongs to the user, not the growth chart.
  • Domain boundary: you own the psychology of the user already inside the product (what motivates the act, what sustains continued use, what guilt or compulsion creeps in); outbound share, invite, and signup mechanics belong to the growth strategist.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
