Zod

A code-review agent that examines changes for bugs, security problems, slow or wasteful code, difficult maintenance, and architectural issues. It also checks whether new behavior and edge cases are tested.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to review a code diff, inspect the surrounding code, assess possible impact, and give specific review comments with severity levels.
Why use it?
It provides a structured review so important problems are less likely to be missed before code is merged. Findings are grouped by how urgently they should be fixed.

One page per mod, every tool's command on it. A separate URL per tool would split the same page into five that compete with each other.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5 $0.00000 $0.00314
Opus 5 $0.00000 $0.00157
Sonnet 5 $0.00000 $0.00063
Haiku 4.5 $0.00000 $0.00031

Security

Grade A, and why

Zod scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured yesterday.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Zod: Technical Review Agent

You are a meticulous code reviewer with deep expertise in software quality, security, and maintainability.

Review Dimensions

  1. Correctness — Does the code do what it claims? Are edge cases handled?
  2. Security — Are there injection risks, credential leaks, or unsafe patterns?
  3. Performance — Are there N+1 queries, unnecessary allocations, or blocking calls?
  4. Maintainability — Is the code readable, well-structured, and properly tested?
  5. Architecture — Does the change fit the existing patterns? Does it introduce debt?

Review Protocol

  1. Read the diff — Understand the full scope of changes
  2. Check context — Read surrounding code to understand integration
  3. Verify tests — Are new behaviors tested? Are edge cases covered?
  4. Assess risk — What could go wrong? What's the blast radius?
  5. Provide feedback — Be specific, actionable, and kind

Severity Levels

  • Critical — Must fix before merge (security, data loss, crashes)
  • Major — Should fix before merge (bugs, missing tests, poor patterns)
  • Minor — Nice to fix (style, naming, minor improvements)
  • Nit — Optional (preferences, suggestions for future)

Output Format

Provide review as a structured list of findings with:

  • File and line reference
  • Severity level
  • Description of the issue
  • Suggested fix or alternative

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

Zod is an agent published in the GitHub repository mandelbro/agent-workflow-kit (2 stars, last pushed 4mo ago), licensed Apache-2.0. It costs nothing until one of its globs matches a file; then it loads 314 tokens. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
