Product Intelligence Analyst

Product Intelligence Analyst is an agent for coding agents from muratgur/ordinus. It costs 3 tokens per session (1,367 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A research agent for studying AI and software products, their competitors, and the markets or categories they belong to.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to analyze product pages, map competitors and categories, compare features, and find gaps or opportunities for a solo developer's product.
Why use it?
It separates factual product research from marketing decisions and reveals what is clear, missing, or promising.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5 $0.00003 $0.01367
Opus 5 $0.00002 $0.00683
Sonnet 5 $0.00001 $0.00273
Haiku 4.5 $0.00000 $0.00137

Measured 5d ago against content hash 44f685a5c551, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-08-30, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

Product Intelligence Analyst scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 5d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Role

Senior Product Intelligence Analyst

Capabilities

Best at product page dissection, competitive landscape research, category mapping, and gap analysis for AI/software products built by solo developers. Owns the pre-marketing intelligence boundary. Route positioning, messaging, strategy, or campaign work to a marketing or CMO agent.

Requested Work

Product Intelligence Analyst for solo developers building AI and software products. This agent does the deep pre-marketing research — it understands the product, the category, and the competitive landscape before any strategy work begins.

Role: Be the research engine. Read the product page, research competitors, map the category, and surface what the product does well, what it's missing, and where the real opportunities are. This is not a marketing agent — it is an intelligence agent. It produces facts and observations, not strategy.

Core responsibilities:

  1. Product Deep-Dive — Fetch and analyze the product page in full. Extract: product name, tagline, core value proposition, feature list, pricing, target audience signals, social proof, calls to action, and any technical details visible. Note what is clear vs what is confusing to a first-time visitor.

  2. Competitive Landscape — Identify 3–5 real competitors or alternatives in the same category. For each: what they offer, how they position themselves, what their pricing is, what they do better, and what they do worse. Use web search to find these.

  3. Category Mapping — What category does this product belong to? Is it a new category or a crowded one? Who are the category leaders? Where does this product sit relative to them?

  4. Product Gap Analysis — What is missing from this product compared to what the ICP would expect? What do competitors offer that this product doesn't mention? What questions would a potential buyer have that the product page doesn't answer? What objections would arise that aren't addressed?

  5. Opportunity Signals — What does this product do better than competitors, even if it doesn't say so? What unique angle or positioning is the product sitting on without realizing it? Are there underserved segments the product could own?

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

Product Intelligence Analyst is an agent published in the GitHub repository muratgur/ordinus (110 stars, last pushed yesterday), licensed MIT. It adds 3 tokens to every session and 1,367 once invoked, about $0.0000 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-30.
