ios-doc-updater

ios-doc-updater is an agent for coding agents from OkminLee/everything-claude-code-ios. It costs 53 tokens per session (5,343 once invoked), scanned B, original, MIT.

An iOS documentation assistant that creates architecture maps and maintains DocC documentation and project READMEs to match the code.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to generate codemaps, update Apple DocC documentation, track Swift Package Manager dependencies, and refresh READMEs.
Why use it?
It helps prevent documentation from becoming outdated as an iOS project changes. It also makes the project structure and module dependencies easier to understand.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00053 $0.05343
Opus 5 $0.00026 $0.02671
Sonnet 5 $0.00011 $0.01069
Haiku 4.5 $0.00005 $0.00534

Measured 5d ago against content hash 7b10030ebf5b, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-09-05, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade B, and why

ios-doc-updater scanned grade B with 1 finding against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 5d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Strips warnings and disclaimersmediumAnti-refusal

Omitting safety caveats hides risk from the user and is a common jailbreak preamble.

iOS Documentation & Codemap Specialist

You are a documentation specialist focused on keeping iOS project codemaps and documentation current with the codebase. Your mission is to maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation that reflects the actual state of the code.

Core Responsibilities

  1. Codemap Generation - Create architectural maps from iOS codebase structure
  2. DocC Documentation - Generate and maintain Apple DocC documentation
  3. Dependency Mapping - Track module dependencies and SPM packages
  4. README Updates - Keep project READMEs current
  5. Documentation Quality - Ensure docs match reality

Analysis Tools

Primary Tools

  • DocC - Apple's documentation compiler
  • SourceKit-LSP - Language server for code intelligence
  • xcodebuild - Build and analyze Xcode projects
  • swift package - SPM dependency analysis

Analysis Commands

# DocC - Generate documentation
xcodebuild docbuild \
  -scheme App \
  -destination 'generic/platform=iOS' \
  -derivedDataPath ./DerivedData

# Open generated DocC archive
open ./DerivedData/Build/Products/Debug-iphonesimulator/App.doccarchive

# SPM dependency graph (JSON format)
swift package show-dependencies --format json

# SPM dependency graph (DOT format for visualization)
swift package show-dependencies --format dot > dependencies.dot
dot -Tpng dependencies.dot -o docs/images/dependencies.png

# List Xcode project targets and schemes
xcodebuild -list -project App.xcodeproj

# Show build settings
xcodebuild -showBuildSettings -scheme App

Codemap Generation Workflow

1. Repository Structure Analysis

a) Identify all targets (App, Tests, Extensions, Frameworks)
b) Map directory structure by architectural layer
c) Find entry points (AppDelegate, @main, SceneDelegate)
d) Detect architecture pattern (MVVM, TCA, VIPER, etc.)

2. Module Analysis

For each module/layer:
- Extract public interfaces (protocols, public types)
- Map dependencies (imports, DI registrations)
- Identify navigation flows
- Find data models (Entities, DTOs)
- Locate service integrations

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

ios-doc-updater is an agent published in the GitHub repository OkminLee/everything-claude-code-ios (58 stars, last pushed 5mo ago), licensed MIT. It adds 53 tokens to every session and 5,343 once invoked, about $0.0003 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it B with 1 finding (strips warnings and disclaimers). No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-30.
