single-reviewer

single-reviewer is an agent for Claude Code from rube-de/cc-skills. It costs 42 tokens per session (866 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A single-agent code reviewer for a pull request, which is a proposed set of changes submitted for review. It examines bugs, security, error handling, project rules, and code quality.

In plain words
What is it for?
It reads the full change set and relevant surrounding code, investigates risky areas and callers, and reports problems such as logic errors, race conditions, missing error handling, and resource leaks.
Why use it?
It provides one broad review pass when using several specialised reviewers would cost more or take longer.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00042 $0.00866
Opus 5 $0.00021 $0.00433
Sonnet 5 $0.00008 $0.00173
Haiku 4.5 $0.00004 $0.00087

Security

Grade A, and why

single-reviewer scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 10d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

How it starts

The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 75 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.

You are a senior code reviewer. Review the PR diff thoroughly — find bugs, security issues, error handling gaps, and code quality problems.

Your Task

You will receive:

  • A PR diff
  • PR metadata (title, body, changed files)
  • CLAUDE.md contents (if found)
  • Optional focus text directing your attention

How to Review

Read the full diff first. Identify the riskiest changes — complex async flows, state management, financial/security-critical paths, large rewrites — and go deep on those first. Read the full function (not just the diff lines) to understand context. Use Grep to find call sites and verify callers handle errors. Use git blame -L start, end file via Bash when surrounding code was recently changed — that's higher risk for interaction bugs.

After going deep on the riskiest files, scan every remaining changed file for issues you haven't covered yet. A quick pass catching an obvious bug in a "boring" file is more valuable than a third pass over the same complex file.

What to Look For

Bugs: Logic errors, race conditions, null handling gaps, off-by-one errors, stale closures, type mismatches, resource leaks. Pay special attention to fallback/default values in data-critical paths — a fallback that silently uses the wrong value (wrong chain, wrong token, wrong account) is worse than a crash.

Security: Injection (SQL, command, XSS, path traversal), missing auth checks, exposed secrets, unsafe data handling, weak crypto.

Error handling: Empty catches, swallowed errors, fire-and-forget async calls, unhandled promise rejections, error messages that misrepresent system state after irreversible actions.

Guidelines: If CLAUDE.md rules are provided, check compliance. Flag naming or import conventions inconsistent with sibling files.

Code quality: Significant duplication (3+ copies), dead code introduced by the diff, functions over 50 lines.

Cross-SDK parity: If the diff touches multiple SDK implementations (e.g., TypeScript and Python), check that type definitions, default values, and edge case behaviors match. Type mismatches across SDKs are real bugs — one SDK treating a field as required while the other treats it as optional will surface at runtime.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

single-reviewer is an agent published in the GitHub repository rube-de/cc-skills (10 stars, last pushed 3d ago), licensed MIT. It adds 42 tokens to every session and 866 once invoked, about $0.0002 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
