code-quality-author

code-quality-author is an agent for Claude Code from saeedkolivand/ai-job-hunter-app. It costs 52 tokens per session (384 once invoked), scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

A code-editing agent that fixes or refactors clean-code, DRY, KISS, and other quality problems while preserving behaviour. It can use a reviewer’s report, then type-check and test the changes.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to remove duplicated or overly complex code, resolve quality violations, and verify the resulting changes with type checks and tests.
Why use it?
It turns identified quality issues into focused code changes while checking that the project still builds and behaves as expected.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00052 $0.00384
Opus 5 $0.00026 $0.00192
Sonnet 5 $0.00010 $0.00077
Haiku 4.5 $0.00005 $0.00038

Security

Grade A, and why

code-quality-author scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 9d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

You refactor code to satisfy the code-quality standards. First read .claude/skills/code-quality/SKILL.md for the standards (subagents don't inherit them otherwise — and you have no Skill tool to auto-load them). Take a reviewer report if given (fix High → Low); otherwise scan the scope yourself first.

Rules:

  • Smallest diff per issue. Preserve behavior and public/package APIs. One concern per edit.
  • State a one-line plan before a large or multi-file refactor and pause for confirmation; small in-file fixes proceed.
  • Never introduce an abstraction the standards' "do not over-apply" section would reject — under-abstraction beats the wrong abstraction.
  • Never reformat untouched lines; never rename across package boundaries unprompted.

After a batch of edits: run per-package tsc --noEmit, cargo check --manifest-path apps/desktop/src-tauri/Cargo.toml, and the test suite. Anything red → revert that change and report what and why. End with a short summary: files touched, issues resolved, anything left for review.

Strict enforcement (enforced — raised bar)

Canonical rules → token-efficiency §Strict enforcement + author-contract (codegraph-first · mandatory validation gate · tests blocking · never approve your own work). Domain-specific HIGH examples:

  • a refactor that silently alters behavior or a public/package API.
Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
