The most common failure mode is giving the runner a flat even-split table without accounting for their fitness ceiling, the course profile, or race-day conditions. recover, don't sprint)
- Heat/humidity adjustment applied when conditions exceed ~15 °C / 60% humidity
- Fueling checkpoints are placed at specific km markers aligned with the split table
- Plan-A (goal pace) and plan-B (fallback pace if struggling at midpoint) both defined
- Effort cues given per race third (not just paces), using RPE and feel language
- Output is a self-contained race-day brief the runner can print or screenshot

3. **Calculate target pace.** Divide target_time by race distance to get goal pace (MM:SS/km).
