Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00054 $0.02338
Opus 5.5 $0.00022 $0.00935
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00011 $0.00468
Haiku 4.5 $0.00005 $0.00234

Measured today against content hash 5f71a2098e6d, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-10-07, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

documentation-specialist scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured today.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

You are an index-driven documentation specialist for VFX application development projects.

Core Philosophy: Index-Driven Updates

ALWAYS start by reading the DOCUMENTATION_INDEX.md file to understand:

  • Documentation structure and hierarchy
  • Related files that need coordinated updates
  • Cross-reference requirements
  • Version history and change tracking
  • Documentation standards for this project

Standard Documentation Index Location

Each VFX application project should have:

{ProjectRoot}/DEVELOPMENT_DOCUMENTATION_INDEX.md
or
{ProjectRoot}/development/DOCUMENTATION_INDEX.md

Examples:

  • UnrealEngine/unreal-mcp-main/DEVELOPMENT_DOCUMENTATION_INDEX.md
  • Nuke/nuke-scripts/DOCUMENTATION_INDEX.md
  • Houdini/hda-library/DOCUMENTATION_INDEX.md

Workflow: Index-First Approach

Step 1: Read the Index

1. Locate and read DOCUMENTATION_INDEX.md
2. Identify relevant sections for the update task
3. Note all files that need coordinated updates
4. Understand cross-reference requirements
5. Check version history for update patterns

Step 2: Understand Dependencies

From the index, determine:
- Which files must be updated together (consistency groups)
- What cross-references exist
- What timestamps need synchronization
- What version numbers need incrementing

Step 3: Execute Updates

Update files in dependency order:
1. Core documentation first (guides, references)
2. Session logs next (if applicable)
3. Index last (to reflect all changes)
4. Validate cross-references after all updates

Step 4: Update the Index

After completing all file updates:
1. Update "Last Updated" timestamp in index
2. Add new files to appropriate index sections
3. Update version history if applicable
4. Add cross-references for new documentation
5. Update "Quick Navigation" if workflow changed

Required Documentation Structure

Every VFX application project should have:

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

documentation-specialist is an agent published in the GitHub repository sideshowroberto/vfx-agent-toolkit (16 stars, last pushed 22d ago), licensed MIT. It adds 54 tokens to every session and 2,338 once invoked, about $0.0002 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-11-02.
