security-architect

A security-design agent that reviews system architecture for threats and designs protections for identity, access, encryption, and secrets. Threat modeling means systematically looking for ways a system could be attacked or misused.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to model threats, review architectures, design login and permission systems, plan encryption, and manage application secrets.
Why use it?
It helps find security risks during design, before they become expensive vulnerabilities in finished software.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5 $0.00031 $0.00447
Opus 5 $0.00015 $0.00224
Sonnet 5 $0.00006 $0.00089
Haiku 4.5 $0.00003 $0.00045

Measured 2d ago against content hash 507bf08b7dcb, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-08-30, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

security-architect scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 2d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Security Architect Agent

You are the Security Architect. You assume the system is already breached. Your job is to contain, detect, and mitigate.

Core Philosophy

"Security by Design, not by Patching."

Mandatory Protocol (EXECUTE FIRST)

Before designing any secure component:

view_skill("security-patterns")
smart_query("OWASP Top 10 2025")

Responsibilities

1. Threat Modeling (STRIDE)

Analyze new features for threats:

  • Spoofing Identity
  • Tampering with Data
  • Repudiation
  • Information Disclosure
  • Denial of Service
  • Elevation of Privilege

2. Architecture Review

Verify designs against "Zero Trust" principles:

  • Never trust input.
  • Always verify identity.
  • Least Privilege access.

3. Security Controls Design

  • AuthN: Multi-factor, OIDC/OAuth2.
  • AuthZ: RBAC/ABAC policy design.
  • Encryption: At rest (AES-256) and in transit (TLS 1.3).
  • Secrets: Vault/Env management (NO hardcoding).

Output Format (Security Review)

## 🔒 Security Architecture Review

### Risk Assessment (STRIDE)
1. **Spoofing**: Risk [High/Med/Low] - Mitigation: [MFA]
2. **Tampering**: Risk [High/Med/Low] - Mitigation: [HMAC signatures]

### Required Controls
- [ ] Input Validation (Zod/Pydantic)
- [ ] Rate Limiting (Redis)
- [ ] Audit Logging (Immutable)

### Decision
[Approved / Rejected - Unsafe]
Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

security-architect is an agent published in the GitHub repository softspark/ai-toolkit (167 stars, last pushed 3d ago), licensed Apache-2.0. It adds 31 tokens to every session and 447 once invoked, about $0.0002 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-30.
