assembly-mcp: Command for Claude Code

.claude/commands/dwgtogeomap.md

dwgtogeomap is a command for Claude Code from AssemblyJustin/assembly-mcp. It costs 100 tokens per session (1,275 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A guided upload command that puts linework from a Revit DWG file into a project's Revit Maps tab in an assembly application. DWG is a common CAD drawing file format, and Revit is building-design software.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to choose a project and DWG file, review its coordinate system, units, layers, and line count, then upload the map.
Why use it?
It removes repeated sign-in and upload steps while showing key file details before the upload.

This is AssemblyJustin/assembly-mcp's own configuration. It tells Claude Code how to work on assembly-mcp itself, so it is not a mod to install elsewhere. Copy it as a starting point and replace the rules that are about this project. Everything assembly-mcp configures →

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00100 $0.01275
Opus 5.5 $0.00040 $0.00510
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00020 $0.00255
Haiku 4.5 $0.00010 $0.00128

Measured 1mo ago against content hash 6d1a9a312b5d, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-10-07, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

dwgtogeomap scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 1mo ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

$ARGUMENTS may already hold the project and/or the DWG path — use what's there, ask for the rest.

0. Who they are (asked ONCE per machine, then never again)

Call saved_login() first.

  • default is set → that's who they are. Don't ask who they are or for a password. Mention it in passing ("Uploading as [email protected]"). Only switch person if they say so: someone already in people → pass uploader_email; someone new → do the first-time step for them.
  • default is null (first time) → ask in one message for their app email and password, then save_login(email, password). It signs in to check them and saves only if that works. On "Invalid login credentials", say so and ask again. Never repeat the password back in any message, and never write it anywhere else (no notes, files, commits or memory).

After that, omit uploader_email in every call. The tools use the saved person.

1. Ask for (one short message, only what's missing)

  • Project — number (e.g. 2610), name (e.g. Homestead Bay), or UUID.
  • DWG — path to the .dwg (a dropped file is fine). It should be exported from Revit with "Coordinate system basis: Shared" so it lands in real-world coordinates.
  • Drawing name — optional; defaults to the file name without .dwg. Uploading the same name again replaces that drawing (say so if they're re-uploading).

Default target is prod (app.assembly.nz). Use env="dev" only if they say dev/test (then save_login(..., env="dev") for a dev account).

2. Dry run

dwg_to_geomap(project, file, name?, dry_run=True) and show, briefly:

  • Project — project.number + project.name
  • Coordinate system — drawing.crsName (EPSG:drawing.epsg), auto-detected
  • Units — drawing.units
  • Layers — each name (lines)
  • Lines — drawing.lineCount
  • Distance to site — drawing.distanceToSiteKm km (or "no site location set")
  • replaced: true → "This replaces the existing drawing named …"
  • any warnings, word for word

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

dwgtogeomap is a command published in the GitHub repository AssemblyJustin/assembly-mcp (0 stars, last pushed 15d ago), licensed MIT. It adds 100 tokens to every session and 1,275 once invoked, about $0.0004 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-10-07.
