velocity.report: Command for GitHub Copilot

.github/prompts/svelte-ux-review.prompt.md

svelte-ux-review is a command for GitHub Copilot from banshee-data/velocity.report. It costs 38 tokens per session (1,033 once invoked), scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

A review workflow for Svelte pages and components that identifies hand-built interface elements that could use components from the svelte-ux library. Svelte is a tool for building web interfaces from reusable components.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to produce a replacement table for a designer, covering a selected Svelte file or directory.
Why use it?
It helps spot repeated or inconsistent buttons, forms, dialogs, tables, and other interface patterns before code is changed.

Command for GitHub Copilot

Written for GitHub Copilot: a Copilot chat mode or prompt.

This is banshee-data/velocity.report's own configuration. It tells GitHub Copilot how to work on velocity.report itself, so it is not a mod to install elsewhere. Copy it as a starting point and replace the rules that are about this project. Everything velocity.report configures →

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00038 $0.01033
Opus 5.5 $0.00015 $0.00413
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00008 $0.00207
Haiku 4.5 $0.00004 $0.00103

Measured 1mo ago against content hash d8b2dabc95ed, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-10-07, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

svelte-ux-review scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 1mo ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Workflow: svelte-ux-review

Review Svelte files for UI elements that could be replaced with svelte-ux library components. Produces a structured replacement table for designer review before any changes are made.

Invoke with #svelte-ux-review in Copilot Chat, optionally specifying a file or directory.

Design Principle

Use svelte-ux components wherever a suitable one exists. Hand-rolled HTML for standard UI patterns (buttons, dialogs, form fields, tables, toggles, notifications) creates maintenance burden and visual inconsistency. The library is the canonical source of truth for interactive UI primitives in this project.

Available svelte-ux Components (v2)

Already in use

Button, Card, DateRangeField, Dialog, Header, Notification, NumberStepper, ProgressCircle, SelectField, Switch, Table, TextField, ToggleGroup, ToggleOption

Available but unused — check for opportunities

AppBar, AppLayout, Avatar, Backdrop, Badge, Breadcrumb, ButtonGroup, Checkbox, Code, Collapse, CopyButton, Drawer, EmptyMessage, ErrorNotification, ExpansionPanel, Field, Form, Icon, Input, Kbd, ListItem, Menu, MenuButton, MenuItem, MultiSelect, MultiSelectField, Overflow, Paginate, Pagination, Popover, Progress, Radio, RangeField, RangeSlider, ScrollContainer, SectionDivider, Shine, Step, Steps, Tabs, Tab, Timeline, TimelineEvent, Toggle, ToggleButton, Tooltip, TreeList

Procedure

Step 1 — Identify scope

If a file path is given, read that file. If a directory is given, list .svelte files in it. If nothing is given, scan web/src/routes/ for all page components.

Step 2 — Scan for replaceable patterns

For each file, look for:

Hand-rolled pattern Candidate svelte-ux component
<input type="checkbox" Checkbox or Switch
<input type="radio" Radio
<input type="text" or <input type="number" TextField or NumberStepper
<select> SelectField or MultiSelectField
<table> with manual thead/tbody Table
<button (not from svelte-ux) Button
Modal/overlay with manual backdrop Dialog or Drawer
Toast/alert with manual styling Notification or ErrorNotification
Tab navigation with manual state Tabs + Tab
Accordion/collapsible sections ExpansionPanel or Collapse
Breadcrumb navigation Breadcrumb
Tooltip via title= attribute Tooltip
Progress bar <div> with width % Progress or ProgressCircle
Empty state placeholder EmptyMessage
Step/wizard indicators Steps + Step
Pagination controls Pagination
Badge/count indicators Badge
Copy-to-clipboard buttons CopyButton
Keyboard shortcut hints Kbd
Icon with raw <svg> Icon (with mdi path)

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
