cc-switch-web: Command for GitHub Copilot

.github/prompts/opsx-bootstrap.prompt.md

opsx-bootstrap is a command for GitHub Copilot from cp-yu/cc-switch-web. It costs 14 tokens per session (375 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A command for building an OPSX architecture map from an existing codebase. An architecture map records the main parts of a system and how they fit together.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to scan a codebase, map its architecture, review the result, and promote the map into formal project records.
Why use it?
It gives a project a structured view of its existing design before future changes are planned or reviewed.

Command for GitHub Copilot

Written for GitHub Copilot: a Copilot chat mode or prompt.

This is cp-yu/cc-switch-web's own configuration. It tells GitHub Copilot how to work on cc-switch-web itself, so it is not a mod to install elsewhere. Copy it as a starting point and replace the rules that are about this project. Everything cc-switch-web configures →

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00014 $0.00375
Opus 5.5 $0.00006 $0.00150
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00003 $0.00075
Haiku 4.5 $0.00001 $0.00038

Security

Grade A, and why

opsx-bootstrap scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 1mo ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Run the CLI-backed /opsx:bootstrap workflow to bootstrap the OPSX architecture map.

Phases: init → scan → map → review → promote

Quick Start

# Check current state
openspec bootstrap status

# Initialize (if no workspace)
openspec bootstrap init --mode full

# Or use refresh when formal OPSX already exists
openspec bootstrap init --mode refresh

# If a completed retained workspace already exists, start a fresh run explicitly
openspec bootstrap init --mode refresh --restart

# Get instructions for current phase
openspec bootstrap instructions

# Validate gates after each phase
openspec bootstrap validate

# Promote to formal OPSX (after review)
openspec bootstrap promote -y

Each phase produces intermediate artifacts in openspec/bootstrap/. The workspace is retained after promote as audit history. Use openspec bootstrap init --mode refresh --restart for the next run; it snapshots the retained workspace into openspec/bootstrap-history/ before creating a fresh workspace.

Key Commands

  • /opsx:bootstrap — user-facing agent command that drives the CLI-backed workflow
  • openspec bootstrap init [--mode full|opsx-first|refresh] [--scope src/] [--restart] — create workspace or explicitly restart from a completed retained workspace
  • openspec bootstrap status [--json] — phase progress + per-domain status
  • openspec bootstrap instructions [phase] [--json] — phase-specific guidance
  • openspec bootstrap validate [--json] — gate validation + auto-advance
  • openspec bootstrap promote [-y] — re-validate, write formal OPSX, then retain the workspace as audit history
Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

opsx-bootstrap is a command published in the GitHub repository cp-yu/cc-switch-web (47 stars, last pushed 1mo ago), licensed MIT. It adds 14 tokens to every session and 375 once invoked, about $0.0001 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-09-12.
