What is load-in-figma?

A command that explains how to load and test a Figma plugin in the Figma Desktop app. It covers importing the plugin's manifest file, running it, and checking for errors.

Steps to Load Plugin

Tell the user these steps:

1. Open Figma Desktop

The plugin must be loaded in the desktop app, not the browser
If you don't have it, download from figma.com/downloads

2. Import the plugin

Go to Plugins → Development → Import plugin from manifest...
Navigate to your project folder
Select the manifest.json file (in the root, not in dist/)

3. Run the plugin

Go to Plugins → Development → [Your Plugin Name]
Or use the quick actions menu (Cmd/Ctrl + /)

4. Test it

Try the main functionality
Check the console for errors (Plugins → Development → Show/Hide console)

Troubleshooting

"Plugin failed to load"

Make sure you ran /build first
Check that dist/plugin.js and dist/index.html exist

"Cannot find module" in console

A dependency might be missing — run /install

UI doesn't appear

Check the console for errors
The UI size might be too small — check figma.showUI() dimensions in main.ts

Changes not showing

Run /build again after making changes
Close and reopen the plugin in Figma
