cd-status

cd-status is a command for Claude Code from Jinghao67/conductor. It costs 22 tokens per session (428 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A status command for Conductor, a system that tracks separate coding work streams and their dependencies. It shows the project, current execution wave, branch states, stale branches, firewall mode, and pending merges.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to review project progress, inspect branch status, unlock or restore the read firewall for the current project, and remove obviously outdated registry entries.
Why use it?
It gives a compact view of what is active, planned, blocked, or waiting to merge. It also makes stale work and read-access changes visible.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00022 $0.00428
Opus 5.5 $0.00009 $0.00171
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00004 $0.00086
Haiku 4.5 $0.00002 $0.00043

Security

Grade A, and why

cd-status scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 1mo ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

!D=".conductor"; if [ ! -f "$D/registry.json" ]; then echo "No .conductor — run /cd-init."; else jq -r '"project: "+(.project//"?")+" current wave: "+(.master.current_wave|tostring)' "$D/registry.json" 2>/dev/null; echo; echo "Branches:"; jq -r '.branches | to_entries[] | " "+.key+" ["+.value.status+"] W"+(.value.execution_wave|tostring)+" "+.value.title + (if (.value.stale==true) then " [STALE]" else "" end)' "$D/registry.json" 2>/dev/null; echo; if [ -f "$D/.firewall-off" ]; then echo "read-firewall: RELAXED (.firewall-off present)"; else echo "read-firewall: ACTIVE"; fi; if [ -f "$D/.merge-lock" ]; then echo "merge in flight: $(cat "$D/.merge-lock")"; fi; fi; true

Present the above as a compact Today View: Active now / Planned / Blocked / Merge pending, plus any staleness warnings.

Argument handling for $ARGUMENTS:

  • If it contains --unlock: run touch .conductor/.firewall-off to downgrade the master read-firewall from deny to ask for this project, and tell the user to /cd-status --lock (or rm .conductor/.firewall-off) to restore it.
  • If it contains --lock: run rm -f .conductor/.firewall-off to restore strict enforcement.

Also prune obviously stale bindings if you notice branches that are merged/rejected/archived still holding a bound_session_id.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

cd-status is a command published in the GitHub repository Jinghao67/conductor (99 stars, last pushed 4mo ago), licensed MIT. It adds 22 tokens to every session and 428 once invoked, about $0.0001 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-30.
