paper-cranes: Command for Claude Code

.claude/commands/pr.md

pr is a command for Claude Code from loqwai/paper-cranes. It costs 15 tokens per session (361 once invoked), scanned A, original, BSD-3-Clause.

A command recipe for creating a GitHub pull request from the current Git branch. It pushes the branch, summarizes the changes and tests, requests a named reviewer, and opens the request in a browser.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it when a branch is ready for review and needs to be turned into a pull request against a chosen base branch.
Why use it?
It removes the repetitive steps involved in preparing and submitting a pull request.

This is loqwai/paper-cranes's own configuration. It tells Claude Code how to work on paper-cranes itself, so it is not a mod to install elsewhere. Copy it as a starting point and replace the rules that are about this project. Everything paper-cranes configures →

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00015 $0.00361
Opus 5.5 $0.00006 $0.00144
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00003 $0.00072
Haiku 4.5 $0.00002 $0.00036

Measured 11d ago against content hash b337f3008258, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-10-07, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

pr scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 11d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Create Pull Request

Create a pull request for the current branch, request a review from @redaphid, and open it in the browser.

Steps

  1. Push the current branch to origin (with -u to set upstream tracking):

git push -u origin (git branch --show-current)

  2. Determine the base branch. Use main unless $ARGUMENTS specifies a different base.

  3. Run git log and git diff main...HEAD to understand all the changes on this branch.

  4. Create the PR using gh pr create:

    • Write a clear, concise title (under 70 chars)
    • Write a summary body with ## Summary section describing the changes
    • Add a ## Test plan section
    • Add the 🤖 Generated with [Claude Code](https://claude.com/claude-code) footer
    • Request review from redaphid using --reviewer redaphid
    • Use a HEREDOC for the body to preserve formatting
  5. Open the PR in the browser:

    gh pr view --web

  6. Return the PR URL to the user.

  7. After the PR is created, review the commits in the PR. If it introduces a feature a user would be excited about (new capability, new query param, new UI — not just a fix or refactor), ask the user: "This PR adds [feature]. Want me to update the changelog?" If they say yes, invoke /changelog.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

pr is a command published in the GitHub repository loqwai/paper-cranes (7 stars, last pushed 3d ago), licensed BSD-3-Clause. It adds 15 tokens to every session and 361 once invoked, about $0.0001 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-10-02.
